Hey I'm janani ❤️ from India, currently im doing my undergraduation in costume design and fashion... I'm interested in doing my post graduation in London kindly suggest me good clg for my pg #loveyourvedios ❤️
I have a problem with searching through the UAL website so could you answer me on following questions:When is the application time?Is there a theme for portfolio or you do whatever you want? How many pages your portfolio should have? Can you get accepted if you havent gone to fashion highscool?
Hi Ajobi! Im going to do the foundation course at CSM and I am quite worried about the people there generally being known to have a bad attitude and unfriendly because I am from Brazil, and we here feel quite attached to people within our environment. But i wanted to know how you personally feel about the people there...
heyyy! I wouldn't worry about it! not everyone is stuck up so you'll definitely meet some great people and make some amazing friends. personally I enjoyed my foundation and a lot of the people on my course were great but there is also the odd few people that fit the stereotype... no need to worry about them though
I have a question, after the interview I was given 2 choices, either I want to take the offer in CSM foundation diagnostic (even though I know I want to do the fashion&textiles pathway, but they told me that the course is full) or International Preparation for Fashion foundation in LCF. Can you help me? Give me suggestions?
I've been thinking about applying for CSM after highschool, I'm from United States ...pretty far, anyways I was wondering if you can give me some tips or so on applying for CSM or London College of Fashion?? 😊😊😊 BTW i love your videos very inspiring.
Thank you so much and thank you for your comment! :) i'm not totally sure what kind of advice you're looking for specifically but i have two other videos where I give a general overview of applying to both LCF and CSM in terms of the application process, the portfolio ect. which may help.
Here are the links;

Hi! I have just seen your video and it is so inspiring. I wish to have a career in fashion design, ut I am getting sooo confused with this. I mean like UAL is the university, but CSM and LCF are... afilliations? or are there universities... or do they just give courses and I am supposed to apply to ual? Please help :c BTW, loved your video!
lol yeah people speak about them as if they're totally separate. University of the Arts London is one university which is divided in to separate colleges (two of them being LCF and CSM) each college specialise in different subjects for example LCF is more technical fashion based where as London college of communication is more digital fashion based if that makes sense. i also explain it in 2:31 of the video
Hi ! I am applying for csm foundation course and will soon be called for a portfolio review. When you say that they looked at your work without you, did they call you at the end for an interview or did they literally not see your face ??
I have really diverse things to show but some projects are older so weaker and less developed, do you think I should show everything or just my latest and more developed work ? I am still talking about the foundation.
Thank you for all the information !
thank you for your answer !! last question, before your portfolio review did you have to send an online version (mini portfolio) or was it the first step ? because they just asked me to send an online version and said I would be called for an interview if they like it. Does this mean I would skip the portfolio review and go straight to an interview ?
Hi Justine! I was called in for and interview afterwards then asked to speak about my work but some people did not get an interview after their portfolio was looked over. I think it is always best to show a range. I don't think everything must be super developed. Work that you may not like they could possibly love but at the same time you should be passionate about all the work you display. thanks for watching!
Your videos about uni are so informative thank you :) I currently study an art foundation in England and have applied for womenswear courses at lcf and csm. Do you have any advice as to what they really look for? I know they're really hard to get into as I have already been turned down by lcf. Also do big fashion universities prefer a ring binder portfolio or one without?
I guess your best bet is to keep your portfolio mainly specific to your course but also to show that you have other areas of interest ! from what i know they prefer your portfolio sheets loose so they can feel the work and really explore it visually but some may differ from others :)
my dream is to get into central saint martins for fashion design after doing a foundation there . could you please show us the portfolio you applied with for foundation . i am really stressed out about how it should look and what i should include . thanks a lot
I'm from the U.S. so I applied through UAL's U.S. Office. They hold in-person portfolio reviews/interviews with the admissions director and an instructor from one of the schools, and give you an immediate offer or otherwise. So I received an immediate acceptance to CSM after their reviewed my work. Hope this helps!
Hey Abigail! I love your channel! Please show us your portfolio and give your opinion about what you think of working whilst studying at CSM. I'm applying from Portugal and people here don't get paid very well, so I'm kinda worried of how to cope with London's life standards.
Thank you so much !! Working whilst at uni can be pretty difficult (personally I couldn't do it) but I do know of people that are doing it successfully... if you plan your time effectively everything should work out okay, but try not to overwork yourself! Thank you for your comment... all the best !!
