This is the video from my first day in Scotland's beautiful capital, Edinburgh. This trip was my first ever as a solo traveler, and I found Edinburgh to be absolutely perfect for that!

Hi there! I'm Anne-Li – Danish girl, globetrotter, travel vlogger, blogger and digital nomad traveling the world with my partner in crime and long-term boyfriend Mathias. Spending a month in Budapest every summer taught us that traveling does not have to be expensive and that slow travel is the way to go – for us. We have been traveling full-time since September 2016, and we usually base ourselves in one place for at least a month or two. This way of traveling is not only budget friendly – it also means that we can take our time and really explore and enjoy the place we're in. We eat local food, shop at local markets, meet local people and enjoy experiencing different cultures – all the while seeking out the best wifi and exploring everything there is to explore. Everyday is another adventure, and we’d love for you to be part of it!

I really liked the video! It was so nice to see how open minded and enthusiastic you were. I also find it great to see somebody traveling alone for once :) I will spend one year in Scotland all by myself. I am as happy as I am nervous about it...
I was born, and raised in Edinburgh, but never learned to appreciate, and love the city, until years after my 17 birthday, when I left. It was just home, and, as a child, I felt safe and happy, as do most children, regardless of where they were raised. The last time ( and it probably is the last time ) that I saw Edinburgh, was 2001.
I was born and raised in Edinburgh and I agree it is such a pretty city. The buildings are amazing and looks like a movie scene! I would also recommend walking right down the royal mile and climbing Arthur seat. Also there is a amazing bar on the royal mile called whiski bar, this is where you will get a real Scottish experience, really a unique bar with live music every night (Scottish). Its usually really busy! And you should go to the medows near the museum.
No it doesn't sound stupid. I have been quite entertained by your enjoyment of what you have encountered. Edinburgh pubs are very good, I really like them - and I'm from the west coast(you may not get that reference)! Your hangover - the white Russian.... it will do it every time.
It's amazing seeing Scotland from a foreigners point of view.
They see Scotland as a mysterious and mystical land, the stuff of fables and fairytales.
When I think of Scotland I think about about being twelve and the older kids offering me my first drink or cigarette.
Sitting in the back of my garden celebrating a rangers win when some Celtic supporters come and start throwing bottles at you.
The Ice cream van with cola floaters.
And being cold.
It's just not a romantic place in my mind.
HI Lassie , Great Video of my country, I think I should bestow upon you the title and privilege of honorary Scot, Most of us Love it when Tourists come here , more so when they are very Pretty like you
Glad you enjoyed our capital. Sadly a lot of people who live in Scotland, never actually spend time visiting various places. They are to eager to jump on a plane and travel somewhere else - usually hot, with cheap food and most importantly alcohol. Scotland and it’s attractions are often voted high up in places to visit on our planet.
I am adding some information for you, I know you are Danish, did you know that your next Queen of Denmark, Princess Mary of Denmark family came from Scotland, she even worked in Edinburgh, her maiden name is Marey Elizabeth Donaldson, she was born in Hobart Tasmania, were she grew up and was educated there, her father is a Professor of Mathematics, also she is of the clan McDonald an old Scottish clan who helped chase the Vikings out of Scotland, let me say this I think she will be great Queen of Denmark when she ascends the Danish Throne as your Queen, if you ever get the chance to meet her tell her you visited Edinburgh I think she would be very interested in what you have to say about your trip to Edinburgh.
Honestly u didnt sound stupid at all, cuz I understand the way you feel, having a dream of something for a long time and finally living up to that! I know the feeling plus.. Scotland is like one of a kind majestic place in the world..! In fact if u didn't freak our I'd be surprised. 😍😍😍😍😍😍
I am from the Emerald Isle. Fell head over heels in love and married a beautiful lassie from Edinburgh. Love this city. It's so beautiful. Take a wee walk along the winding waters of Leith and enjoy the peace and tranquillity.
Was their for a few days this week beautiful city very laid back much like us Irish 😁 did a few tours not too impressed with Edinburgh castle,,, anyway I found the Scottish people like us Irish very hospitable!!!!!!!!
Let Me Eat does good food. One of the co-owners goes on mad long international cycling trips with his wife and child.
Go in there... the portions are decent.
This video makes Edinburgh look as amazing as it really is.
04:18 It's funny seeing you walking RIGHT past where I used to live (kitchen window is visible) and saying it's like being on a film set... One day I was trying to go to work and I was stopped by BBC teams filming something and it was really annoying! haha. Loved this reminder of the city, great vlog. Glad you enjoyed Edinburgh and approached it with the greatest attitude! =)
As a celtic folk music fan I have to ask what is the song in the beginning and between 6:20 - 6:45? The melody is similar to one Irish tune but it wasn't that. Please tell me.. I have my guitar and tin whistle ready to rock. :D
