In this webcast I will explain the data flow from Oracle Order Management to Oracle Service Contact. To begin with I will create Sales Order, and progress it all the way to service Contract. 1. Create Sales Order for item AS54888 (this Product item has warranty item associated with it as part of BOM). This is my Line 1.1 2. Add service line (line # 1.1..1) in the Order and refer the Line 1.1 as product line. 3. Pick Release and Ship confirm Order. 4. Don't Run Workflow background process yet. 5. Query Order 66666 in Service Contract and you can see Service Contract 22049 has created .Please note that this service contract is for the Free Warranty item ( that was part of BOM of product item) and contract amount = 0 6. Now run workflow background process that will progress order line to fulfillment. 7. Once Step #6 is done, query order in Service Contract Module again and you can now see Contract # 22050 .This is for the extended warranty line and it is in Signed status, with Start date in Future date. Feel free to reach me at [email protected] if you have any question or you would like our consultant to help you in implementation /customization of service contract module or leave comments here.

The workflow creation tool allows us to execute various steps inside of an Orchestration, which can also accommodate multiple request types. In this video, we will generate only two types of requests, a service request to call a JDE form application, and a message requests to submit an email once the workflow is complete. A basic workflow created in the Orchestrator studio can include different rules that trigger a customized step by step process. An example of this may be to run a backup process in case a report executions fails, or submit an email once an execution is completed. The basic workflow functionalities can be customized to generate advanced work flows, and can help us automate quite complex processes with the current Orchestrator studio version.

This demo video walks through the steps of user self-service registration, a workflow approval for account creation, and the advanced security registration (including OTP) process. ***Please change the video settings to 720p*** The following systems are used during this demonstration: OAAM: Oracle Adaptive Access Manager -- Advanced authentication and fraud prevention OAM: Oracle Access Manager -- Single Sign-On, authentication services, and web services security OIM: Oracle Identity Manager - Role based provisioning, user self-service, complex workflow, and permissions attestation OVD: Oracle Virtual Directory -- User source consolidation, data transformation, and DSML gateway OID: Oracle Internet Directory - LDAP V3 repository, highly scaleable, and user record storage User Self-Service Registration Allows a user to request a new account for themselves within OIM. This offering can significantly reduce the cost overhead associated with manual user creation. Workflow Approvals Provide a streamlined approach to approval and user account creation. Once a user performs a self-service registration, the approval will be sent to the appropriate person(s)/department(s). The approver can review the request and approve or deny. If approved, OIM can be configured to provision the account immediately, as well as to any other downstream applications that are needed. In addition, multiple approvals can be implemented based on the needs of the organization. Advanced Security Registration Once a user account has been requested and approved, an advanced security registration process can be put into place. This registration is handled by OAAM, and can provide anti-phishing and anti-fraud capability to the pre and post authentication process. This is done through the use of a security image and phrase only known to the customer, knowledge based authentication questions (KBAs), and a password. The OAAM system can also provide two factor authentication by the use of a one time password (OTP) sent via email or SMS.

When implementing Oracle Engineering the usage of the seeded workflow is discussed in terms of Engineering Change Order Approval. Most users want to implement an Engineering Workflow that manages their work and enforces their business process. The approval is just one step that occurs near the end of the process. This presentation will demonstrate how to develop an engineering workflow using the standard functionality of Oracle Workflow Builder. This process is similar to creating a workflow diagram in Microsoft Visio, where the shapes drive functionality in Oracle Engineering. While a user has to understand Workflow Builder as a tool, no programming language knowledge is required. There may be some functionality that requires additional programming, but there is much that can be accomplished without it. Presented by Arne Rosen.
