The IKEA Group - The Story of How We Work
To create a better everyday life for the many people: that is the IKEA vision. But, what exactly do we mean by this? How can a home furnishing company create a better everyday? http://www.IKEA-usa.com We believe quality and design should be affordable to many. We use the five elements of "democratic design" -- form, function, quality, sustainability and a low price. So instead of thinking outside the box, we got rid of it. At IKEA, we want to inspire people to create the home they dream of. Follow us on a journey from home through design, supply and distribution to find out how they come together to create quality products at low prices. To us, creating a better everyday life for the many people also means making a difference for the people and communities where we work. This film lets you know more about how.

Faster, Better, Cheaper – the Manufactured Marketing curse
As marketing communications requires a great volume of output the process is becoming more like manufacturing in nature. But the question is who is taking responsibility for quality control in marketing manufacturing? Find out how to improve your marketing manufacturing process in a Golden Minute here: While the motto of the modern Olympics is Citius, Altius, Fortius Faster, Higher, Stronger The motto for modern marketing could easily be Citius, Melior, Vilis Faster, Better, Cheaper Ironically it’s also the motto of modern manufacturing. To paraphrase Edwards Deeming, the father of Total Quality Management, because “There is no point making it cheaper if it is not better”. So in a marketing world where cost and time are constantly under pressure where does that leave quality? And I do not mean winning award type of quality I mean changing customer behaviour, Growing market share, Driving sales and profit type of quality. The quality that ultimately is why we market. If marketing is a manufacturing process, then who is responsible for ensuring the quality is improved When everyone else is focusing on how to make it faster and cheaper? Is it you? Or you? Or you?

Five Dimensions of Service Quality
- As consumers, we have all paid businesses for their service in one way or another. Depending on the company, that experience may range from excellent to awful. For my individual project I’ve chosen to focus on the five (5) dimensions of service quality and how the employee climate can affect the quality of a business’ offering. For this video I’ve chosen to highlight the service offered by Emirates Airlines. Disclaimer: I do not own any of the images or footage used in this video!

Why your Company Needs Rapid Experimentation (Quality and Quantity)
What’s one thing that Hubspot, Facebook, Freelancer.com, Google, Amazon, Netflix as well as all those fast growing startups eating away at your revenue have in common? RAPID EXPERIMENTATION. In his latest shareholder letter, Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, stated that “Our success at Amazon is a function of how many experiments we do per year, per month, per week, per day.” So he’s basically saying that Amazon's success is the result of the number and the speed of experiments they run. Jeff Bezos also states, that the need for rapid decision making is crucial when it comes to growth. Being wrong might hurt you a bit.. But being slow will kill you. The issue we see on a weekly basis, is that many companies only apply this to the tech and product side of things. MVPs, build fast, fix later, lean enterprise etc...but only for product development. Which is why we should also include the learnings from Google’s former head of enterprise apps, Dave Girouard. Girouard outlines the same problem: in business, speed is seen primarily as an asset only in product development. Ship fast, break things!! But for some reason this mantra still isn’t adopted on the business and marketing/sales side of things. What you shouldn’t fail to grasp is that speed matters to the rest of the business too — not just product. Google is fast. General Motors is slow. Startups are fast. Big companies are slow. It’s pretty clear that fast equals good, but there’s relatively little written about how to embed this speed and rapid experimentation in other departments than just product! For the past 2 years, we’ve been focusing on training and helping people implement this speed through a process of rapid experimentation. Specifically by training executives, marketers, product owners and anyone in contact with customers. We’d like to share some learnings we’ve made along the way. Most experiments will fail (especially as you’re starting out), so you need to test a lot before you get a big win. Don’t lose patience! Especially during those first 5-10 experiments, fight through those as fast as possible and make sure stakeholders don’t stop you. The more experiments you run, the more the quality will increase. Your first 10 experiments will just be learning how to run experiments. But as you continue to push through, you’ll get more learnings and your rate of success will improve. The secret sauce to rapid experimentation; it’s not so secret! It’s a process of rapid experimentation. We’ve developed the GROWS process for rapid experimentation. Here’s a video explaining it in detail: http://grow.ac/GROWSYT So how long should experiments run for? 90% of your experiments should last 1 week minimum and 2 weeks maximum. If they don’t you’re not designing them correctly. Check out this article we wrote on why most of you experiments should last 2 weeks maximum: http://blog.growthtribe.io/experiments-shouldnt-last-longer-2-weeks/ Design your experiments clearly. Take into account all possible blockers before you run experiments. Usual suspects are the “immune system of the organisation” = stakeholder, legal, lack of skills to execute, IT, branding, agencies, compliance, risk, politics and a bunch more that are specific to your company. We’ll be making a video on how we design growth experiments soon. But remember to at least have a clear hypothesis and define results you’ll consider a success. If you set these success metrics up you’ll know what to measure during your experiment. _________________________________________ Amsterdam bound? Want to make A.I. your secret weapon? What is "Just in Time"? - Whiteboard Wednesday
Learn more at: http://www.fishbowlinventory.com/quick-tour/. What is Just in Time (or JIT)? It is a lean manufacturing process that helps companies keep as little inventory on hand as possible. They only order products when a need arises, and they try to get products to customers as quickly as possible without having to store lots of products in warehouses. This frees up money, space, and other resources that can be put toward more worthy pursuits. You have to be extremely careful when using a JIT model because if anything goes wrong, you don't have much backup to fall back on. So you have to use a very precise inventory management system to keep track of everything. Fishbowl's Whiteboard Wednesday series explains complex inventory management topics in a just a few minutes. Fishbowl is the No. 1 manufacturing and warehouse management solution for QuickBooks users, and it also integrates with Xero.

6 BEST Digital Marketing Tools to Grow Your Business Online
What tools should you be using on your website to market your business? Today Neil shares his six favorite digital marketing tools. ►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog 1:30 The first digital marketing tool that you guys should use is Google Analytics. It tracks your visitor count if you have a lot of traffic. They'll sample the data unless you pay like a hundred or a hundred and fifty grand or whatever their price is per year. Google Analytics will show you how people are engaging throughout your site and what traffic sources are causing most conversions. Don't optimize for traffic. Optimize for traffic that causes conversions. 3:00 The second digital marketing tool I have for you is Ubersuggest. You're going to want to get rankings. You're going to want more search traffic. It's the most consistent traffic that you'll get. Yes. Social media traffic is easier and quicker to get. But Google's algorithm updates aren't as crazy as Facebook's. It won't be where one day you're getting 300,000 visitors from Facebook organic reach and the next day you're getting 10,000 visitors. Google's organic traffic is very, very consistent. So use Ubersuggest. 3:40 The third digital marketing tool I have for you is Google Search Console. We love doing this internally, where we take Google search console, we log in; we look at all the posts, how many impressions they get, how many clicks they get and the click-through rate. We look for the posts that get less than a five percent click-through rate. We look at all the keywords that were getting impressions from that post, and then we integrate those keywords into that blog post or that landing page, and we rewrite that content. 7:30 The fourth digital marketing tool is Crazyegg. Crazyegg shows me how people are engaging with my website. How far they're scrolling. Where they're clicking. It allows me to take that data and, within Crazyegg, you don't have to be a developer, you don't have to be a designer. You can adjust your page and run A/B tests to maximize your sales. Because it's not just about getting traffic, it's about converting those visitors into conversions. Another tool that I love using is called Subscribers. It's through push notifications. People will come through to your website, but they don't come back. 8:00 The fifth digital marketing tool is called Subscribers. It's through push notifications. People will come through to your website, but they don't come back. What it does is it puts a little browser notification when people come to your site and gets them to subscribe without being obtrusive, it does it all within the browser. 9:00 The last digital marketing tool that I'm going to give you guys that you guys should check out is HubSpot. HubSpot's a great tool to look at your overall marketing, your lead count. It integrates marketing with sales, and that's why I want to end with HubSpot. I love it. I use it, and sure some people may say "Hey, there are other tools that do this or that." HubSpot has a lot of free plans, and they have some startup plans, which is very entrepreneur friendly, and best of all is they keep adding more and more stuff for free, so why not? They're a huge billion dollar company that are trying to crush their competitors, so they're just releasing a lot of stuff for free. Hey, that's for your benefit. 10:00 All this data and these digital marketing tools, with no action, is useless. You're better off saving the money and not even paying or using any of them. So that's it. Thank you for watching this week's Q&A Thursday video. If you want your questions answered, leave a comment below. Let us know you want it answered on a Q&A Thursday video. Maybe we'll select it. Either way, if you leave a comment below, I'll answer it no matter what. Please, like, share, review, whatever it is. This video, The more people that know about it, the more people I can help, the happier I'm going to be. As you can see, I don't promote my services or anything from my content. I'm just looking to help people. So I would appreciate it if you can share the content.

By default, the decisions we make regarding marketing mix will be as good as our understanding of the target market. If we’ve done quality research, the likelihood of coming up with a good marketing mix combination increases. Four major variables shape a company’s marketing mix. These variables are known as the Four Ps of Marketing. Focusing on: • Product • Price • Place • And Promotion This has proven to be an effective way to understand the decisions a company makes when it enters a market and competes in it. If a company understands the needs of its customers, it can create products that satisfy the clients’ expectations and contain the features they desire; it will offer these products at a price that corresponds to the target market’s willingness to spend, and it will offer them where the target market loves to shop. It will also build its brand communication in a language that speaks to the target market. Marketing Mix and the Four Ps is intuitive. Marketing managers should concentrate on these variables and tailor them regarding the target market they’ve chosen to pursue.

Total Quality Management - Explain how an organization might benefits from benchmarking
Need Answer Sheet of this Question paper Contact us at [email protected] M: 7019944355 Total Quality Management CASE STUDY : 1 An organization exists because of its customers. Customer satisfaction is a proof of successful TQM implementation and therefore finds high importance in the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award criteria and quality system certification standards. Quality is defined from customer’s perspective. TQM requires focus or both external as well as internal customers. Customer perception of quality depends on many aspects, such as performance, service, warranty price and reputation. Organizations need to set up a feedback mechanism for measuring level of customer satisfaction. Organizations must listen to each complaint, analyze root causes and take corrective and preventive action to resolve the same. Q1) Is the main concern of most consumers the price of the product or service? Explain. Q2) Explain the importance of customer and customer services? Q3) Explain customer code of ethics? Q4) How does employee satisfaction relate to customer satisfaction? CASE STUDY : 2 Senior leadership of an organization should set direction, creative clear vision, inculcate customer focus, nurture values and set clear expectations to motivate employees and suppliers. Stephen Convey’s The Seven Habits of highly Effective People provides a foundation of ethical and principle centered leadership to drive TQM implementation. Deming’s 14 points also provide guidance to decide the policies and direction. It is critically important that leadership and senior management demonstrates their commitment and involvement through their actions for the success of TQM. A quality committee consists of leadership and functional leaders. This committee establishes the objectives and roadmap and provide resources for TQM implementation. Q1) Define leadership? Q2) Select one or more of Deming’s 14 points and describe how you would achieve or implement it? Q3) “Seek first to understand, then to be understood”, Explain briefly. Q4) Discuss the role of TQM leaders? CASE STUDY : 3 The organizations which have intentions to grow and perform well should measure themselves against the best industry practices. Bench marking provides a systematic approach to achieve this purpose. It primarily contains two elements first doing comparative performance measure on the basis of well established metrices and second understanding why their own performance differs from the targeted value. Benchmarking can be adapted to any business or production process. The organization must identify critical processes or business measures, which it wants to benchmark and at the end achieve it. Several techniques are available to carry out the benchmark studies. Organizations must ensure that business ethics are maintained in obtaining such data and should avoid copying the processes blindly. Q1) Explain how an organization might benefits from benchmarking organizations in a completely different industry? Q2) Identify and explain the three main types of benchmarking? Q3) In which circumstances would above each type be most appropriate? Q4) What are the advantages to using benchmarking as an improvement tool? CASE STUDY : 4 TQM encompasses all aspects of business. Its key concepts are emphasis on management commitment, customer focus, involvement of all, continuous improvement, treating suppliers as partners and performance metrics. The philosophy of TQM has evolved through the contribution of many quality gurus, including Shewhart, Deming, Juran, Feigenbaum, Ishikawa, Crosby, & Taguchi. The principles and tools laid down by these experts provide a solid foundation for the TQM frameworks. The journey to TQM starts when the management realizes the need. The need could be due to same external factors such as loss of market share or some interna factors such as a loss of productivity. These are nine different dimensions to qualify. These are several obstacles in implementing TQM, the most important being the lack of management commitment. Substained implementation of TQM can result in benefits such as improvement in quality, productivity, reliability, market share, revenue, profits and growth. In spite of this, the proportion of companies implementing TQM is low. Q1) Explain the TQM concepts and of the six basic TQM concepts which were the most effective in world war II? Explain. Q2) Which of the gurus would be the father of quality control & why? Q3) Why the proportion of companies implementing TQM is low? Q4) Define the term Quality?
