The goal of branding is to connect your name or company name with a specific product or service. If you are trying to build a strong brand, think about the problem you are trying to solve and create messaging that breaks down your solution. Put your solution out there so people know what your company is all about. Now when you are building your brand, remember Warren Buffett's rule. Protect your brand at all costs. If you want to see how your brand is doing, type it in within Google Trends. Your goal should be to create a graph that goes up and to the right. If it isn't going up and to the right, you need to do more marketing.

If you don't pick colors that resemble your brand, your product, it's not going to flow right, you're not going to connect with people because you're not going to be happy with what you have and that's gonna come across with your web design. The second thing you need to know is your colors need to have contrast, so your call to action buttons need to stand out from your main design. If everything blends in, you're not going to convert your visitors into customers. The third thing you need to know is once you figure out what main color you want, go check out the color wheels out there, there's a ton of them on the web. You can put in your primary color that you're using and they can give you other colors that complement these main colors that you can use throughout your design. And last but not least you need to test everything. Just because you like red or orange, if you think it's the best and that's what people are gonna like, it's not always the case. Test out your colors, especially the ones on your call to action buttons and as you're making these changes, what you'll find is you can then pick the ones that cause the most clicks and sales and if you're wondering how to test out your color scheme, you can use Crazy Egg. Through Crazy Egg's AB testing feature, you can pick different colors and you can see which ones impact your conversion rate the most.

Add accessories to your core product that no one else is adding to theirs. Here's what I mean by this. If you wanna build a personal brand and a niche that's so small that only 10 people care about it, there's not really any money to be made. If you wanna do well, go to Google Trends. Type in whatever niche you wanna be an expert in. Make sure that niche is bigger than digital marketing. Google Trends will allow you to compare to it. As long as it's bigger than digital marketing, you're fine. That's a big enough niche. The second tip I have for you is to leverage video. See, when I started building a personal brand, I was old school. I would write blog posts, go to offline events and that's great and all but these days you can build that in-person kinda feel and connection through videos over the web because of channels like YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn. You can get your message across and it's much more effective than in-person events. So go and create content. It takes a while but a quick hack to make it faster is get seen with other experts. So if people see let's say you and Gary Vaynerchuk together, they're gonna be like, oh, Gary knows him, Neil or John or Chris or whatever your name is may also be an expert too and an easy way to do this is do interviews. You'll then also wanna speak at four conferences a year. That's the next tip for you. I know I mentioned with videos hey, it's just as good as in-person events and yes, it's much more effective but still that in-person event but people seeing you, a lot of 'em over time as they like your speech, they'll wanna take pictures with you, they'll push it out on the social web. The fifth tip I have for you is to help people out. Helping goes a long way. Don't just help people because you're just like, hey, if I help 'em, I'll get a more personal brand and it'll be bigger and I'll make more money. Help people 'cause you care. If you truly care and you wanna be an expert in your space, you gotta pay your dues and help people out whether it's responding to them on Facebook groups, responding on Twitter, answering comments when people leave a comment on your blog. This all shows goodwill and it'll help you build a personal brand. The sixth tip I have for you is to stand out and when you're standing out, don't try to be too crazy. Just be yourself. Look for something that's unique in yourself that other people don't have. Good example of this, if you look at Gary Vaynerchuk's videos, a lot of 'em he cusses. He doesn't cuss because he's trying to be cool or anything like that. It's just his natural self. So when you cuss or you're being your natural self in a way that other people aren't, it'll help you stand out and last but not least, be patient. It's not gonna happen overnight. You're not gonna make a million bucks from speaking fees in one or two years but over three, four years, you're gonna do better and even though I'm telling you to be patient, if you follow these growth hacks, you should see results each and every single quarter. #NeilPatel #PersonalBranding #ContentMarketing

The Truth About T-Shirt Pricing For Your Brand [How to Price T-Shirts] [T-Shirt Pricing Guide] When it comes to pricing your brands t-shirts there are many things to consider. There is no exact formula to the right way to price your shirts but i can tell you what factors to consider and help you to make the best assessment on where your brand should be priced. The first thing you want to consider is your cost to make your product. That includes the total cost for the shirt which would be something like the cost for the actual shirt, plus to cost of the print(s) on the shirt or material such as vinyl used, plus any extras associated with the shirt like adding in a tag or poly bag. This will be used to calculate your profit. At a bare minimum you want to at-least double your cost of production when selling your product. The second thing you want to consider when choosing the price of your t-shirts is your pricing model. I would like to say there are three pricing models: 1. Low End Pricing or novelty pricing this price range is in the ballpark of $10-$15 /or $8-$19.99 price range. The plan is to sell a million t-shirts for cheap and having allot of sales generating you allot of profit. This structure of pricing t-shirts is good for generic t-shirt lines, trendy t-shirt lines, impulse buy t-shirt products. 2. The Mid Level or Brand Level Pricing this price range is in the ballpark of $20-$30 price range. The plan here is to build awareness around a central theme customers here will buy if they like or can relate to what your selling. They will weigh the cost of your t-shirt on how much they like it and can relate to what it stands for. If you have a message behind your brand and or it stands for something this is where you want to price your t-shirts. 3. The High End this price range is anything upwards of $30. This pricing is for the elite brands. The goal here is the exact opposite then the low end you only want the elite or the people who are trying to give off the appearance of wealth to wear your brand. Most brands here try to present celebrity influence to promote and push there brand. Keep in mind all the information above is considering pricing of the a T-shirt. Lastly, you want to consider what your competition or your idea brand is selling there products for. This is the best thing to tell you what to charge. But you still need to consider the other factors. Also when looking at these brands consider how the show there brand what image are they giving off. This will show you how to market based off of perceived value. Extra: when adding in extras you can jump to the next upgraded level by a cost of $5-$12 more. Meaning a Low End T-Shirt Sells For $15 Sweatshirt or Baseball T adds $5 bring it to $20 Hoodie adds $5 to the Sweatshirt cost bringing it to $25 Mid Level T-Shirt Sells for $26 Sweatshirt or Baseball T adds $6 bring it to $32 Hoodie adds $10 to the Sweatshirt cost bringing it to $42 High end Well they just pull there prices out of thin air. So my question is, what did these self-proclaimed experts do to claim that title? If you want to be an "expert" in your craft you need to be in the trenches, day in and day out. You can't just rely on modern day technology to build up your brand. The notion that people are leveraging these technologies and the brand equity of others to build their name is LAUGHABLE. You need to actually execute. You need to earn the opportunity to be a personal brand. You need to show them the proof.
