Thank you and farewell relic for bringing life into Games Workshops Warhammer 40k with Dawn of War. May the machine spirit watch over you in all your future endevours.
Playing Ultimate Mod Warhammer 40k, i dived into the gem editor again while keeping in mind of making a video of it too. The developers have been very opened and responsive to criticism, considerate about the stability of the mod and very generous in providing development files. They are also very opened to the modding community in helping with the mod, regardless of our language barriers.
Thank you for being such wonderful supportive people that i was happy to see and meet during my time.
Endless scenario for Gem Editor info:
-Gem editor on UMW40k development test version 2017
-102GB edited to 3GB 60FPS video.(YouTube 30FPS) Thirdperson-view 20-30FPS
-Simple AI scripted personalities for Warpspider teleport, Harakoni Warhawks drop, Valkyrie air drops, jetpacks, infantry building turrets, medics(only quartermasters or any infantry), walkers melee engagements, vehicles spawn infantry to reinforce random cloned squads, auto-boarding of unmanned cannons and vehicles, squads for each race reinforcing a race leader(except for cut-scenes).
-If destroyed, 4 static bridges can be repaired by assigned races.
-Endless cutscenes (Siege, Fort, castle and titan) or activated anytime during play.
-Auto-cinematic camera attachment to third-person or vehicles. it switches to first person if unit actor is firing.
-Entire map(except siege) is triggered based on number of towers/bunkers(the spawn point block buildings with a gate door) controlled by each race. Each race has it's own decoration and fortifications when captured. Eldar crystals, tau laser walls, imperial guard military barricades and chaos flesh stuff.
-Dreadnought is the event activator for siege,fort,castle,hell and titan event, only engages them based on number of imperial bunkers captured.
-No actor entities on the play map to save on loading, map compatibility for each new update and test times.
-less then 3000 decoration entities to save on performance, but over 2000 way-points to spawn effects and entities during play.
