(PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION!)
Based on some of the comments I read on my older videos for this game's mode, a lot of you were curious as to whether I could complete Boss Endurance with only Master Kirby.
I can do that, but only with 3rd-party cheat codes.
Master Kirby can only be used in Boss Endurance when you get up to Dark Mind's first form. But with Codebreaker codes, I get Kirby to use this from the very start.
Like with the U.F.O. ability modifier, when it's enabled, the graphics for the ability's sword won't load for Kirby, and trying to attack in this incomplete Master form will have Kirby use different animations instead. In particular, if you have him charge up a Sword Beam, he's gonna freeze in place and you'll have to reset the game.
If you drop an ability star and gain a new one, the old one will instantly vanish. If you do this while a Codebreaker Ability Modifier code is on, the star Kirby leaves behind him will instantly disappear and keep doing so every time you hit the Select button, because this modifier code keeps Kirby's ability permanently "equipped", even when it doesn't look like he has one. Master is the exception to this as it only vanishes when it falls off the stage or when it hit spikes.
I don't show it, here, but this means you can have multiple Master Swords bouncing behind you all at once.
To fix the "incorrect animations" issue, first enable the ability modifier code for Master. When Kirby's shown onscreen in Boss Endurance, disable the code, then you can drop the Master Sword that you didn't see him have before AND change Kirby back to Normal. Then you can re-inhale that sword and properly become Master Kirby with his shining sword in his hand.
If you're using a VisualBoyAdvance emulator to play this game, here's the Codebreaker codes to make this all work:
Enable Code - Must Be On:
Kirby State Modifier - Master:
If you're familiar with the Star Rod of Kirby's Adventure and Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, Master Kirby works on similar fundamentals as far as how it plays into this game's plot. It is the "final" weapon of this game, given to Kirby by Meta Knight when the true enemy of this game, Dark Mind, reveals himself to Kirby. After the game is beaten, Kirby can pick up the Master Sword from the hub room and take it with him to anywhere in the game to solve any and all remaining puzzles that he missed.
Unlike Adventure/Nightmare in Dream Land where Kirby could only use the Star Rod to beat Nightmare, Kirby doesn't need to use Master to beat Dark Mind. He can use any other ability or even his normal self to beat his first two forms.
I mean come on, that's all part of what my Boss Endurance playlist is all about, right?
Unique Moves for Master Kirby:
Quick Sword Slash: B
Lightning-Fast Multi-Slash: B after Quick Sword Slash

- Can be used underwater.
In other words, Master Kirby is a more powerful version of Sword Kirby. It doesn't come with a unique hat, but it is capable of solving every puzzle in the entire game! It's more useful for this than even Smash Kirby! It's recommended to use if you didn't manage to achieve 100% after you beat the game for the first time.
Like I said above, when discarding this ability, you discard the sword itself instead of an ability star, and this will never disappear until you either let it fall off the room you're in, let it touch spikes, or leave the room you left it in. You could even get a regular ability and it'll still be bouncing around, but the other Kirbys can't Inhale and use it if they're CPU-controlled.
This is the very last Ability challenge I will do for this game. I could also do one for Crash and Magic. But those would be WAY too tedious for me to perform since I would have to keep enabling and disabling the Modifier codes for them while recording movies for them, and then doing it again when I turn those movies into AVI files!
So one more time, I say, thanks for watching!
