My name is Sarah Beal and I’m a member of Microsoft’s customer service organization. I’m here today with Rik Dubbink / CRM partners to talk about Microsoft’s new support offering for cloud partners, called Advanced Support for Partners (ASfP). ASfP offers cloud support at an accessible price point that helps you be a great ally to your customers and grow your business faster. We built this offer based on feedback from over 1500 partners. The price point and features land between MPN and Premier Support. It is particularly well-suited to Cloud Solution Provider partners and those selling and deploying one or more of the Microsoft cloud services. Covering Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, it is available as an affordable monthly subscription of $1250 with no upfront investment. Let’s meet Rik. Rik is here with us to share his experiences with ASfP, being one of our earliest adopters. Thank you, Rik for being here. So, to get started, I was wondering if you could speak to us about CRM Partners as a business, and your role there. Rik: Yes, I would like to tell you about CRM Partners. We’re a dedicated Microsoft Dynamics CRM Partner. We are focused on Dynamics CRM, CRM on-prem and CRM online, but also moving into the customer engagement space which is much more than just Dynamics CRM but also incorporates Marketing and customer care solutions or online support solutions. From that perspective we are working with customers in agriculture, membership organizations, and finance, banking and insurance customers. Sarah: Great. And I understand that now you’re participating in Microsoft’s newest Cloud re-seller program, the Cloud Solution Provider Program? So I was wondering if you could talk about how that makes you think differently about support and the support you want to provide to your customers as well as the support you need from Microsoft to be successful? Rik: Well if you look at the CSP program, we are offering not only Microsoft Dynamics CRM online but also other offering from Microsoft like Office 365 and Azure so from that perspective, it broadens the scope. From the old days we always had to deliver support to our customers, however this support now gets broader in the sense of more products we have to support and more solutions we are supporting but also the fact that Microsoft does not offer the support to that customer which is in CSP. We are responsible for delivering that support so we are really, in our day-to-day business, depending on our capability to provide that support. So, from that perspective we also need different support from Microsoft. Sarah: I know you were one of our very first partners participating in our ASfP program. So I was wondering if you could just speak a little bit about what your experience has been and how you see this being beneficial to your participation in the CSP Program. Rik: Yes, actually ASfP is something we really needed to get CSPs up and running. Support is one of the main things Microsoft asks us to provide to our customers. We have a standing and running business support organization but they were equipped, more or less, to offer support to on-prem situations and to Dynamics CRM Online-focused solutions. Now the solutions are getting broader. That means Advanced Support was something we really needed. So we have had the discussions with your team to see how we could get better at getting advanced support from Microsoft and ASfP was the offering that really fit into our business. Sarah: And now that you’ve participated in our Preview program, you’ve made the decision to purchase ASfP, so I’m wondering if you can talk about what made you make the decision to move forward with ASfP? Rik: Well actually in the Pilot Period we have used it for a couple of months, and we realized that the pro-activeness of the program was really speaking to us. So it’s not only support and obviously support times, response times coming down from four hours to one hour is very important for us and our customers. However, it’s also the pro-activeness of the program where we can call in specialist support from Microsoft to do assessments on solutions we want to provide. Or the pro-activeness of giving us roadmap sessions or specific training within the ASfP Program is something which is giving us added value so that was for us the ideal situation to go for ASfP.
