Today I have an Adobe InDesign tutorial video entitled a magazine layout in Adobe InDesign tutorial, a look at laying out a magazine document both for print and we use, in InDesign. I have a link below that shows my most recent magazine project that I worked on in InDesign which is also shown in the tutorial today. My method works for me where I design he artwork in Photoshop, and then transfer that over to Adobe InDesign, where I also add the text and logo files to prevent blurry printing solutions. So if you want to know how to layout a magazine in Adobe InDesign, watch my video today and I hope that the Adobe InDesign tutorial is a helpful one :) ***************** SUBSCRIBE TO SATORI GRAPHICS ***************** ➤➤ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoeJKtPJLoIBqWq4o8TDLpA Layout for web use: 1:13 Exporting magazine for web use: 3:48 Layout for print use: 4:50 Exporting magazine for print use: 9:19 Magazine link of the layout example in this Adobe InDesign tutorial: http://www.urbanr3volution.co.uk/magazine/issue-11-scorcher-edition/ Thanks to yet more suggestions from subscribers, we will be looking at using Adobe InDesign to both layout and export a magazine for print and web use. "Totera helps us create a better magazine." Terry Persun, Co-Founder and Editor, Entertainment Engineering Magazine At Entertainment Engineering, we cover technological advancements in the entertainment industry. Anything that happens behind the scenes in movies, theme parks, racing—we consider it the cool stuff. We deliver interesting, technology-oriented content through a monthly online magazine, as well as eNewsletter announcements, blogs, Facebook, Twitter, PDF downloads, and even print-on-demand magazine formats--all with the help of simplified content support systems from Totera. We like to think of it as using the latest technology systems to deliver technology information. Without a partner like Totera, there's no way we could keep up with the wide availability of ways to deliver content. At Entertainment Engineering, our website "is" our business--and Totera worked with us to build exactly what we needed. Our readers include engineers and engineering professionals from a wide variety of markets--from medical to automotive and from semiconductor to construction. These readers receive the magazine for free, and because the content is interesting and exciting, we have a targeted and active readership. Advertisers who wish to reach these readers pay for the space through all the avenues available online, including traditional display advertising as well as banners and social media. Each month, our Entertainment Engineering editors create over 50 new pages of content. In order to create the type of material our readers are interested in, we need to measure views, readership, and click-throughs, and provide percentages of use for each. Totera helped us create an extensive back-office data management and visitor tracking system for all the different channels we use. All this information also allows us to track advertising success, which in turn helps us to better work with advertising partners, offering them information that allows them to better reach our readers as well. Entertainment Engineering has worked with Totera for over eight years. Frank and his team not only maintain and build our website using the latest technology, they are partners in suggesting new approaches, keeping us on the cutting-edge of online delivery of fun technological information. Without Totera, we'd look like a lot of the other sites out there. Totera helps us maintain a unique site that performs well on the front end for our readers, and on the back end for our staff and partners. Best of all, we get comments from our readers all the time saying how much they love our site. That means a lot to us.

Create online magazines with Yumpu. Sign up now for free use: https://en.yumpu.com/r/magazine In this screencast you learn how to link inside of a magazine and how you can create a table of contents using this method. If you are looking for a digital publishing specialist, look no further - because you have found what you need - at Yumpu! Welcome to the screencast: "How to make a table of contents and embed links within an online magazine". After logging in, we will start on the home page. Use the menu on the upper right to navigate to the document manager. From the list, we select the magazine for which we want to create a table of contents and/or internal links and click on the "edit magazine" button. We will then access our hotspot editor. To do so, we click on "add multimedia to your magazine" and then on the button "add page element to your magazine". In the hotspot editor, we use the menu on the right to navigate to the page which we want to use for linking. In our case, this will be page 3. We then choose the linking tool from the toolbar on the left. The linking tool allows us to draw a box in the exact location where the link should appear. Should size and position of our box not fit 100%, we can always adjust its size and position by dragging the bix or its corners with the mouse. Exact numerical values can be entered into the window "position/dimension". Now, we can adjust the settings for this link. First, we name the box in order to easily identify it in case multiple links are embedded on one page. Now, we select from the drop-down box the type of action to be taken when clicking on the link. We can jump to the previous or the next page, we can switch to full screen and zoom in or out. Just check it out – it's worth it! In our case, we select "Go to page XYZ" where XYZ stands for any page number. In the "page" field, we can enter the page number of the particular page to be reached when clicking on the link. Finally, we can adjust the tooltip text – the text displayed when hovering the mouse over the box. We click the "save" button to confirm our choices – our link will be created! Let’s see how this will look live in the magazine. This is Yumpu. Super easy, super fast. Start creating your own magazine now for free: https://en.yumpu.com/r/magazine Why choose Yumpu.com?
