Men Fashion sketches on a transparent paper
Male Fashion figure on a transparent paper Finally, a fashion tutorial to see how to design some men clothes. First, use pencil to minimally sketch the silhouette of the body. There is no problem if you don't know how to draw the male body. I will show you a simple technique that works everythime: use transparent paper to sketch some main areas in the male body. Just leave some small pencil traces or some keypoints to know where the face will be positioned. This is the most important. You will find transparent paper in each shop, and they come in white, red, blue and many other colors. Mine is transparent meaning white transparent paper. After the minimal sketching, I used white Posca marker - large size and then a white liner, to add some details. The source of inspiration is the image in the left side of the screen. So i took the branches as a source of inspiration. I transformed them into graphic patterns to create a heavy volume for the coat. Then, with black Copic marker i added the big surfaces to help the white graphic lines be even more obvious. For the face and face details i used art and graphic twin makers to underline the shadows. With a pastel pencil i filled the areas where the hands or the gloves are and then, with a brush, i used gold acrylic to add some details. I just filled the empty spaces with gold, as you can see. On transparent paper, there is no need to add too much water, because this can ruin your sketch. The paper will have wrinkles. For the hair, i used black marker from Copic. And then, i added some highlights with white, on the glossy parts of the face. Once you finished the drawing, you can try to see how your transparent paper will look like when superposed to white paper, black or colored one. See what better works for you and then use a tape to stick them together. For the other 2 designs, the process will be the same. Now sit back and enjoy the rest of the video. Hope you will like it. And if so, please share it, leave me a comment or a thumbs up and if you didnt do it until now, please subscribe for more. thank you for watching, and, as always, stay tuned for more videos to come, next thursday, same hour, same place. Avant-Garde Fashion - Beauty Through Reduction
Avant-garde fashion designers produce beautiful garments that push the boundaries of conventional taste. In many ways, avant-garde pushes back against the trends in mainstream fashion in an attempt to create work that is more thoughtful and of a higher quality. With its emphasis on silhouette, drapery, asymmetry and unique textures, avant-garde fashion yields some of the most creative garments we see today. Designers and brands featured (partial list): Yohji Yamamoto / Y-3, Comme des Garçons, Rick Owens, Junya Watanabe, Alexander McQueen, Thom Krom Please support the designers you like! What Students in PARIS are ACTUALLY wearing | ART SCHOOL
Hi! Today I’m taking you inside my French Art school to show you what students in Paris are actually wearing! Inspired by the series by Lexie Lombard, “What highschoolers are actually wearing”, filmed in LA and other cities around the USA, I decided to reincarnate the theme in Europe by showcasing the French/Parisian aesthetic. Personally, I think that the “French girl style” has been stereotyped as very minimal (thanks to French new wave cinema)—so I decided to use my unique situation as an American student in Paris to show you how Parisians really dress! My own fashion is thought of as quite “extra” in France (lots of color and 80s/90s patterns clothes hauls), and I used to think Parisians dressed chic, for sure, but with out much eccentricity…but that is until I went to art school ;) For non French people, the French can be a bit mysterious—especially in a school setting so I decided to not just film the student’s OOTDs or looks, but also interview them. The interviews are in French with English subtitles (and took me so long to do—wow) but it was worth the trouble because this way you can follow along! What you will find is a diverse group of young internationals and a very interesting lookbook—from “norm core” to Art hoe Aesthetic to French guys in thrift store dresses. Althought there are some wild cards, it’s true that there are still quite a few minimalists and simple androgyne style. It was very interesting to me to see that most students got their clothes from thrift shops (or Friperies as they call them) like Emmaus or Guerrisol (sort of like Goodwill) or fast fashion stores like Zara or H & M. . It’s also really enlightening to learn each individuals relationship to fashion and the effects of their environment on their personal identity. Here are the questions I asked: Who are you? Where do you go shopping in Paris? Where are your clothes from? Do you think it’s hard to dress like what you want in France with out getting judged? I really liked doing these interviews and will continue to interview French people around Paris and explore the place that clothing and style through personal expression has in my life. Thanks for watching & make sure to Subscribe for more content in French/English! Want more? Here is a link to other places you can find me online! "Welcome to my world" Armin Morbach, fine art fashion | Phase One
Follow multi-talented photographer Armin Morbach on a creative shoot in his Hamburg studio while he shares his take on fashion art photography. Try Phase One: http://www.phaseone.com/demo Download Capture One: http://www.phaseone.com/download I am Armin Morbach. I am a photographer, an artist, a hairdresser and an editor-in-chief. Welcome to my world! This is Tush magazine and all the big secrets are happening here. Tush magazine started because I was fed up with stupid editors telling me what to do. That someone who never had a brush in their hands and never put a lipstick on told me what's trendy and what's not trendy. I said f*** it. I'll do my own. I called all my friends, all photographers. I called all the big models. Claudia Schiffer was on the cover. That's how it started. It's different because we concentrate on accessories, on beauty, on art photography. She is going to wear this top, she will be nude here but she will wear a string and I'll tape her to the floor on a glass plate. I always wanted to build a chair out of a woman's body but I can't do that myself so it may be better to do it in the picture. I want to get the position as low so that it looks like she is the chair but has no head. I was a hairdresser and one day a photographer didn't show up. Everything was dead so I took the camera and it just started. Twenty years next to the camera, it was just a little step to be behind the camera. I want to create my own way of seeing it because when you do hair for hours and the photographer clicks at the wrong moment, it pisses me off. I like to play with contrast where you don't know whether it is a man or a woman, where does this leg come from, why they used a garbage bag. It's hard to describe my own look because it's not pretty, it's not glamorous, but it has a certain style. Everything you see in my pictures is a part of me. Maybe it's hidden, maybe it's obvious, and maybe if I do glamorous hair it is very obvious I love that. It's something fetish and something I think looks cool, but it always has something to do with my personality. I did about 18 shots. That's enough. That's a lot for me. If I take a lot of pictures I take 20 but I think if you don't have it by the first 5, you will never get it. I have worked with photographers that do 400 and trust me; they always go with the first shots. I love to shoot in computer because I want to see exactly how it looks and if my vision is shown on the computer. I want those things that are glued on to look three-dimensional. I gave the idea to the makeup department and it came out like this today. You don't know if it is someone real or something fake and I like that. This is when art starts. Art starts when some people like it and some people don't. Then it becomes interesting. If you look through a magazine and you stop at this picture, it works. This catches you. If not mentally, then because you think it is sick. I started taking pictures not more than five years ago. Two years ago, one of the big collectors in Germany called and said: "I want to buy your art". This opened a door for me. I never thought that I would be an artist. This day changed my life. I could do whatever I wanted and it's good. I use Kino Flo and flashing for a short time so I get this effect on the picture. I was not happy when she walked on set but now I'm happy because she looks like a voodoo doll. I use the 35mm because this particular picture needs something weirder even though it's weird already. I love to work with the 50mm and 35mm. My favorite one is this one, the 120mm. Because everyone looks pretty I think. The 80mm I'm not a big fan of because everything gets really boring, but I like the 50mm because legs get longer and faces get strange. My new 35mm I like because it is something of a 60's lens because it was used a lot in this time. I'm very friendly but people know exactly when to stop. I can make jokes, I can be funny but when it comes to the picture, it's my decision. The little cameras drive me nuts because you go click-click-click and that's not my way of working. I'm very concentrated when I work. I look for the frame, I have the picture in my mind and I just click. Everyone who works for galleries say that we have to work in a bigger format otherwise it gets grainy. But that's not my style. Even if it's 2,50 high, I want to see every detail. I think everyone who sees this picture will laugh and that's exactly what I like about the picture. It's croissants, it's cookies, it's a cup of tea on a table cloth. In ten years I maybe want to open an organic bakery, maybe something else. I won't be a photographer for the rest of my life. This was my day. You saw enough of my secrets and I'll say bye-bye, Auf Wiedersehen, goodbye!

This video follows Clarissa Esguerra, Assistant Curator, and Melinda Kerstein, Mount Maker in the Department of Costume & Textiles, while they get a mannequin dressed and ready for the exhibition "Reigning Men". The ensemble shown here features a a silk embroidered coat that was made around 1800 in France. The exhibition "Reigning Men: Fashion in Menswear, 1715–2015" explores the history of men’s fashionable dress from the eighteenth century to the present and re-examines the all-too-frequent equation of “fashion” with “femininity.” It's on view at LACMA through August 21, 2016. Fashion Is LITERALLY Art For Viktor & Rolf | Fashion Films | Refinery29
We mean LITERALLY. Watch on for the incredible collaboration. Fashion addict? We feel you. Subscribe to the Refinery29 channel: http://bit.ly/subscribe-to-r29 If there’s any difference between “clothes” and “fashion,” it’s that the latter can double as art. Fashion is imaginative, emotional, and evocative of things much larger than just “I am covering my body.” On one side of the spectrum are mainstream retail trends — clothes you can easily buy that help you say something about who you are that day. On the other side is haute couture — a veritable playground for designers with the means to create garments that are much more about fantasy than function. Designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren of Viktor & Rolf decided to explore the very, very far end of that clothes-art continuum by shutting down their eponymous ready-to-wear label last season to focus solely on haute couture. The result was a literal take on the idea that fashion can be art, using gold-painted frames, white canvases, and “paint splotches” that were — according to the show notes — created by “a complex layering of laser-cut jacquards, embroideries, and appliqués.” The duo further extended the idea by turning their final bow into performance art itself, manipulating the items worn by the models to transform them into sculpture-like paintings, which they then hung on a white wall. You may ask who, besides Lady Gaga, a Viktor&Rolf fan, would wear this stuff? Well, in this case, that isn’t even the point — and you wouldn't be able to buy even the very wearable chambray artist’s smocks if you wanted to. The entire collection was purchased by art collector Han Nefkens to be donated to the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, which may indicate what the ultimate answer to the question posed here is. In our latest collaboration video with Visionaire, we give you an insider's look at all the skill and care that went into this couture collection, and let you decide for yourself whether haute couture and high art are one and the same. What materials do you mainly use for your drawings? In general, I use Copic Ciao markers and Touch Twin Markers, Quill Multiboard A4 white paper, 2B and HB Pentel and Faber-Castell 0.5 mechanical pencil and Faber-Castell PVC-Free Space Eraser (Cool name) and I use Uni-ball Signo white fineliner 2. Did you go to any art school or academy? No. I took Studio Arts in senior high school. It's not from that class that I learned evreything I know. I did learn new things from the class, but not to do with fashion illustration or manga drawings. I went to a regular high school, so it doesn't specialize in art. 3. How do you draw the models? Do you use any templates? I started out by tracing models from magazines which is harder than it sounds, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. Then of course, I searched all types of videos on YouTube and some sites as well on Google, which unfortunately, I don't remember. How I learned to draw my models is using the 9-Head technique. 4. How old are you? I am now 19 years old 5. How long have you been drawing? I'm pretty sure I started drawing at 6. That's probably my oldest memory of me drawing. I got into manga drawings when I was 11 years old, I started teaching myself how to draw manga when I was 13 years old. I started developing an interest in fashion design also when I was 11, but I pursued that interest or taken it further at the age of 14. So, I would say I started drawing fashion illustration at the age of 14. 6. Where do you get your inspiration? I get my inspiration from music, photos on Instagram, Tumblr fashion trends, things that I love. There are times where I am just in an Artist's Block and I feel really brain dead where I can't draw. Or I force myself to draw and it never turns out to be something that I like. 7. Do you have any links or books you can recommend? Definitely! Fashion Illustration by Anna Kiper and Fashion Poses for Fashion Illustrators by Sha Tahmasebi are two books that I own at the moment. I'm hoping to get more. These two books are very helpful if you're a beginner or even if you want to be a bit more advanced. MUSIC: Brittle Rille by Kevin MacLeod NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED

Full article: http://bertwillcreative.com/5-models-15-professional-women-taught-entrepreneurship/ What 5 Models and 15 Professional Women Taught Me About Entrepreneurship by Alberto Tejera | Feb 2, 2018 | Creative Blog, Film & Photography, Services | 2 comments Working with women isn’t the easiest thing for most men to do in a safe and productive way. Women likely understand this concept much better than their male counter parts. I am writing this post to breakdown what working with smart, talented, young professional women should be about…. Let’s begin! Focus on Your Craft(s) Anyone who knows me, KNOWS I am not the best communicator when it comes to one on one talks or business decisions. My talents exist elsewhere. What working with a collaborative team may allow you to realize is that you shouldn’t try to wear every single hat in your Entrepreneurship and business. Just try to focus on the things that you are the absolutely most talented at and forget the rest. Be Respectful of Everyone Stop focusing on the women, yes. Duh… That’s common sense. But no, it isn’t for most men. Whether it’s their time, their attention, or their God given talents… You should never try to take advantage of a client, a customer, a friend, a family member, OR a woman. Just know that whatever you put out into the universe will likely be picked and read in today’s new digital media landscape. Decide Who You Want to Work With Early (A little more personal on this one) But I recently switched myself and my father (and hopefully my brother soon) over to plant-based nutrition for both nutritional and compassionate reasons. In short, I plan to be choosier with the clients I decide to work with, the people I decide to surround myself with, the mentors I choose to learn from, and the values of the business owners and their life goals. Work is art. #metoo

DRESSED2THE9Z | Waraire Boswell Redefines Ready to Wear in the Art of Travel & Style
"Instead of complaining about what wasn't in the market place, I just became the change, I wanted to see." - Waraire Boswell I was raised rich in love but not rich in finances," Boswell said. Coming from humble beginnings at 6'3 ½ by age 15 he realized he couldn't find clothes to fit his tall frame . "There's something empowering about clothes that fit", said Boswell. He recognized the need of tall men not being able to fill their wardrobe because of the lack of options at their disposal. Designers didn't specialize in dressing young men over 6 feet tall at an affordable price, so a star had to step up to the free throw line. "I had to become the change I wanted to see", Boswell said. So he began designing and sewing his own sweaters and slacks. He believes confidence, cadence, culture and class is the bi-product of being a well-dressed man. Meanwhile, other tall men took notice compelling him to design for them and soon became his new distinguished clientele. As the brand grew he launched Waraire Boswell Custom in 2000, customizing clothing for athletes such as LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Oliver Stone, Ryan Gosling and Tyson Chandler, just to name a few. The discriminating gentleman doesn't have to travel to Europe to get a customized suit with a perfect fit. "It's a precise art, when people think of suits they don't think of America they think of Europe. I'm so very focused on fit, that's why people may feel that certain cuts I do are European," said Bos. Boswell has a reputation for using strong vivid colors in his past collections but inspiration is leading him in a different direction this season. "I've been so colorful for so many years, I'm still going to remain colorful but am taking a more darker tone to the collections. I want to take the color down a notch and I'm already known for detail but will add more detail to these garments, that's what I'm really looking to do," he said, "It's all about the details." Knowing the art of detail has been perfected in his customized offering of suits, shirts, denim, leather and accessories. Boswell is gearing up for Spring 2014,offering Made to Measure suits and Ready-to-Wear lines which includes shirting in 3 categories of professional, casual and avant guarde. Catering to all men, his customers don't have to be over 6 feet tall with large pocket books. This year, Dr. Taj Eldridge joined Waraire Boswell as Chief Operating Officer to help prepare the brand for its entrance into Ready-to-Wear. "Taj in many ways help me stay on track", said Boswell, "Every creative needs someone who can manage expectations. I can literally sit here and design and design all day". He has sketched his way into success. The brand will also unveil a unique Ready-to-Wear accessory line for men's travel, business and leisure life. Fine Italian leather, antique brass and the finest fabrics will accent this line of cufflinks, garment bags, shoe bags, computer cases, water carriers, key chains, dog leashes and harnesses. Not forgetting his more discerning clientele he also offers customized accessories in platinum, silver or gold. You can also look forward to seeing the brand collaboration with Del TORO Shoes for the Prince Albert Slipper and Garrett Light, son of Oliver Peoples for Eyewear. OC Fashion Week™ is the premier Showcase in Southern California.
