The Black Sea is a place of great mystery and antiquity. Ancient legends describe a time when the oceans rose above the land, causing an entire civilization to vanish beneath the cold waters of this ocean region. Could this be the great flood described in the Bible during the time of Noah? Today scientists are beginning to discover what may have caused the oceans to rise and are developing new insights about an ancient advanced culture that existed in this mysterious part of the world. This program presents amazing archeological evidence of ancient advanced technology and a long lost advanced civilization that flourished in the Dead Sea region before the end of the last Ice Age. Includes the facts about this amazing mystery and features, on-site investigations, ancient artifacts, under water archeology, and a fascinating series of spellbinding interviews with researchers, scientists, archeologists and the best-known most credible Black Sea authorities in the world today. Footage from Sunday features an unusual underwater museum located off the coast of Tarkhankutsky National Park in western Crimea. Around 50 sculptures and busts of historical figures such as Lenin, Stalin and Marx lie 12 metres under the Black Sea surface. “There are busts of leaders and many other interesting exhibits: a mini Eiffel Tower, diving bombs. Also there is Tower Bridge, the Twin Towers and so on,” said dive master Alexander Pashin. The museum was reportedly established soon after the collapse of the USSR and many of the busts of Soviet leaders were given to the museum by factories and other organisations. PUTIN ANGRY : Russia lashes out at NATO over ‘aggravating’ Black Sea military build-up RUSSIA has issued an ominous threat after NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg revealed plans to beef up its military presence in the Black Sea - warning such a move had the potential to aggravate still further simmering tensions in the region. The country’s Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko was speaking in advance of the arrival of several NATO warships which will conduct a series of naval drills in the Black Sea in the next few days. He told Russia’s state-run news agency TASS: "This is not a surprise for us; they have been saying for a while that they want to strengthen their positions in the Black Sea. We are talking about the strengthening of military and maritime forces of NATO member states, first and foremost, Romania and Bulgaria, plus non-coastal states entering the Black Sea more often. "It is our understanding that this activity aggravates the situation in the sphere of security." Sounding a conciliatory note, he added: "The Black Sea has always been the sea of cooperation, even taking into account certain conflicts. "We need to strengthen security through increasing cooperation in the spheres of energy and transport. First and foremost, this is necessary for the Black Sea states. "As for the military matters, we strictly adhere to the provisions of the Montreux Convention, which has been a key element of the security architecture in the region for dozens of years.” The Convention, which was signed in 1936 and gives Turkey control over Turkish Straits which link the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea, was “unique” because it covers maritime military matters, Mr Grushko said. He added: “Secondly, BLACKSEAFOR [the Black Sea Naval Cooperation Task Group] continues to exist, which unites all states and is aimed at fulfilling strictly peaceful tasks, namely maritime search and rescue, as well as tasks related to new security threats.” Speaking at a press conference in Brussels yesterday, Mr Stoltenberg said the alliance was looking to strengthen its presence in the Black Sea to support Ukraine, from which Russia annexed Crimea in 2014. He added: “NATO allies have of course clearly stated that Russia's aggressive actions against Ukraine are unacceptable.” Referring to recent military clashes in which a Russian warship rammed three Ukrainian vessels, and the subsequent arrest of 24 Ukrainian sailors, he added: “The illegal annexation of Crimea, the continuing efforts to try to destabilise Ukraine through its efforts and presence in Donbas, and also, of course, the totally unjustified seizure of the Ukrainian ships near the Kerch Strait. "We are now looking into what more we can do, "We are looking into whether we can increase our presence in the Black Sea and in the near future, in a few days, we'll have NATO ships in the Black Sea, participating in an exercise. “So we have significantly increased our presence at sea but also in the air and on land in the Black Sea region. “All of this is also part of our support to Ukraine.” His comments came two days after he said NATO “planning for a world without the INF Treaty”, a reference to the landmark 1987 agreement signed by Mikhail Gorbachev and Ronald Reagan aimed at limiting nuclear proliferation, which the United States pulled out of last month, citing alleged Russian violations. Mr Stoltenberg, who was gearing for a meeting with defence ministers of NATO’s member states, added: “We will discuss what steps NATO should take to adapt to a world with more Russian missiles. “Any steps we take will be coordinated, measured, and defensive. “And we do not intend to deploy new ground-based nuclear missiles in Europe.” Subscribe Now : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0IlEuu4TA9wq1u60tLMqBw?sub_confirmation=1 Facebook: https://facebook.com/USMilitaryNewsVideos Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/militaryvideos_ Twitter:

MOSCOW (AP) — Russia and Ukraine traded accusations over an incident at sea Sunday near the disputed Crimean Peninsula, increasing tensions between both countries and prompting Moscow to block passage through the Kerch Strait. Russia’s coast guard said that three Ukrainian navy ships made an unauthorized crossing through Russian territorial waters, while Ukraine alleged that one of its boats was rammed by a Russian coast guard vessel. The Kerch Strait is a narrow body of water nestled between Crimea and the Russian mainland. The incident began after the Ukrainian navy claimed a Russian coast guard vessel rammed one of its tugboats, which was traveling with two Ukrainian navy artillery boats from Odessa on the Black Sea to Mariupol in the Sea of Azov, via the Kerch Strait. “Russian coast guard vessels … carried out openly aggressive actions against Ukrainian navy ships,” the Ukrainian navy statement said. It said a Russian coast guard ship damaged the tugboat’s engine, hull, side railing and a lifeboat. The statement added that Russia had been informed in advance about the planned journey. Russia then blocked off the strait. The move comes after months of growing tensions between Ukraine and Russia, which annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014 and has steadily worked to increase its zone of control around the peninsula. The Kerch Strait is the only passage into the Sea of Azov beyond it. The strait is crossed by the recently completed Kerch Bridge, connecting Crimea to Russia. Transit under the bridge has been blocked by a tanker ship, and dozens of cargo ships awaiting passage are stuck. Russia has not given any indication of how long it will keep the strait blocked off, but a long-term closure to civilian traffic would amount to an economic blockade of Ukrainian cities on the Azov coast. And Russia’s Black Sea Fleet greatly outmatches the Ukrainian navy. Ukrainian cities on the Sea of Azov include strategically vital centers such as Mariupol — the closest government-controlled city to Donetsk and Luhansk, the breakaway regions of eastern Ukraine controlled by Russia-backed separatists. Russia’s Federal Security Service, known as the FSB, told Russian news agencies Sunday that the Ukrainian ships held their course and violated Russian territorial waters. The FSB accused the Ukrainian navy of staging a provocation against Russia. “Their goal is clear,” an FSB statement said — “to create a conflict situation in the region.” The statement didn’t mention ramming a Ukrainian tugboat. Though a 2003 treaty designates the Kerch Strait and Sea of Azov as shared territorial waters, Russia has been asserting greater control over the passage since 2015. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Russia’s actions were a violation of the U.N. Charter and international law, and pledged to “promptly inform our partners about Russia’s aggressive actions.” “Such actions pose a threat to the security of all states in the Black Sea region,” the statement said, “and therefore require a clear response from the international community.” Dmitry Kiselyov, a commentator on the state-controlled Rossiya channel, told viewers of his Sunday evening news program that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko — encouraged by the U.S. — is looking to pick a fight with Russia in the Black Sea. The talk show host also said that the U.S. talked Poroshenko into staging a provocation against Russia as a means to disrupt the upcoming meeting between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump at this week’s Group of 20 summit in Argentina. “What is happening now at the (Kerch) bridge threatens to turn into a very unpleasant story,” Kiselyov warned. http://bit.ly/2Bwy0hF Subscribe To The New Channel: https://www.youtube.com/POTUSTrumpKAG ✝ Please Donate Just $1 A Month. http://www.euronews.com/ What do microscopic molecules and huge computer grids have in common? They both build up giant scientific databases of ecosystems around the World. But it is a tricky process. This is the story of how researchers around the Black Sea are struggling to get the bigger picture out of tiny details. On the shores of the Danube River there is an unusual team. Romanian and Ukranian scientists are embarking on a common research trip. They are assessing the hydrological and biological health of the Danube Delta, a huge Biosphere Reserve shared by both countries. The news is good. "Algae blooming is decreasing. And lately we have seen the development of some aquatic species that are biological indicators of a better quality of the water around here," explains Jenica Hanganu, Ecologist of the Danube Delta Research Institute. Less industrial discharges and more efficient water treatment plants are indeed improving water quality in the Danube Delta. But the region is facing other challenges. Iulian Michersu, Geographer with the Danube Delta Research Institute says: "The Danube has now many dams and dikes. That means that the Delta is narrower and the river is getting deeper, and that affects the biodiversity of the whole area. Oaks that used to grow on the shores are retreating, because the river flow is becoming much more vertical than horizontal and it offers less ground." Challenges are similar on the Delta's Ukranian side. The river's own environmental patterns are no respecter of the political borders. "The main problem on the Ukranian side of the Delta is dramatic high water levels caused by floods. Also, the construction of dams along the Danube has caused difficulties in the water exchanges between the river and the adjacent lakes - that leads to the ecological exhaustion of these basins," points out Mikhail Kornilov, Hydrologist with the Danube Hydrometeorological Observatory. Water samples, zooplancton and sediments gathered during the research cruise are then taken to labs for further analysis. Here again the news is encouraging as Liliana Teodorof, chemist with the Danube Delta Research Institute explains: "Over the last few years, we have indeed seen a decrease in the concentrations of heavy metals like cadmium, zinc and lead. These heavy metals, originating from industry and agricultural sources, are still present, but their incidence is retreating both in the sediments and in the water of the Danube Delta". This chemical, atmospheric, microbiological and zoological data gathering is regularly performed on the Danube Delta. But the results are not kept in a lab's drawer. Instead, all this data is flying high. In Geneva, environmental data from around the Black Sea basin, including the Danube Delta, is being used to elaborate interactive maps and databases for the sake of busy researchers. "They say that we researchers lose 50 percent of our time, if not more, sifting through all the scientific data. And often it arrives here in very different formats, with qualities which are also very different. So we have to transform the data to be compatible with the software we use," explains Gregory Giuliani, Environmental scientist, with the University of Geneva. The whole Black Sea basin is 2.2 million square kilometres, which means a deluge of daily data to be processed. So scientists from a European Union research project needed a helping hand in the form of Grid computing. Nicolas Ray a biologist at the University of Geneva, with the help of a map full of dots explains: "Each of these points represents a University or other computing centre that provides us with tens, hundreds or thousands of computers. So we have access to some of this computing grid that allows us to send our simulations on multiple computers simultaneously and thus shorten the total computation time for our hydrological model." Researchers have so far developed computer models for soil uses, demography and hydrological data - like water flows or level of pesticides - in the Black Sea basin, shared by 20 countries. And all is provided in formats adapted to different platforms. "Here we see the same example, it is stored in our system and, in one click, I can see it on Google Earth. Potentially I can also take it on a smartphone or tablet, I can see exactly the same data, and we're going to immediately start working, and thus spend more time doing the analysis of what we have been given or understand the phenomena instead of wasting time looking for information," says Gregory Giuliani an environmental scientist at the University of Geneva. This started off as a Blake Belladonna AMV but then I decided to focus on her Volume 4/5 arc with Ilia. It has been lying around between my projects for a long time, but i finally got around to finish it. I also absolutely love that almost all of the Blake and Ilia moments are in the dark, it makes editing a lot easier LOL ps. I can't believe i uploaded some actual content instead of the usual trash, i'm gonna cry Oh. Before you ask, nah, I dont ship it, but their dynamic and the way it has been written is so well done that it deserves attention regardless of the ship. Even though Catmeleon is probably everyone's guilty pleasure atm, BBers and BSers alike, LESBI honest ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I don't own the song nor the clips used: Music----|"Black Sea" by Natasha Blume. Black Sea Maritime Archaeological Project, an archaeological survey expedition has discovered the world's oldest intact shipwreck. It was discovered about 80km from the Bulgarian city of Burgas. It is a merchant ship, dating back around 2,400 years which was almost perfectly preserved off at the coast of Bulgaria. Researchers believe that it's the oldest known intact shipwreck. The reason behind the good condition of the shipwreck is lack of oxygen in Black Sea.

http://www.euronews.com/ Appalling weather conditions in the Black Sea have proved fatal for shipping near Istanbul. The coal freighter Volgo Balt 199 sank in heavy seas with the loss of at least one crewmember. Another cargo vessel, the BBC Adriatic, was foundering nearby in high seas with 14 crewmembers on board after a mechanical failure. The vessel that sank sent a mayday in the early morning. Two rescuers also died after hitting rocks while answering the distress message. One was a fisherman. It happened near the northern end of the Bosphorus Strait, one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world. Four crew were rescued, but seven of the Ukrainian and Russian ship's company are still missing. Turkey's transport minister said rescue efforts by helicopters and coastguard ships were being hampered by increasingly bad weather. The channel is the only way Black Sea countries can ship their goods out, and that includes Russian oil and grain.
