There is another possibility, as some commenters have pointed out. Black can just make another move instead of capturing whites dark squared bishop, IF white moves its bishop to h6. If white captures blacks bishop on the next move, black can recapture it with its king. However, this is not part of the video. It is a situation that could arise if white moves its bishop to h6. 2) At 5:53, instead of saying ... the fianchettoed bishop is always stronger... I would say ... is in some cases stronger...♕ OCL SHOP: / ♕ ARTICLE: ... ♕ ♕ In part 1 of my 4 part Stonewall Attack Beginner Series, I will explain the classic Stonewall structure and plan. he Stonewall attack is a powerful opening play by white that puts immediate and consistent pressure on black and prevents black from controlling the center. This video applies the 3 Basic Principles of Opening Play to the Stonewall Attack: 1. Control the Center 2. Develop Your Pieces Actively 3. Get Your King Safe With a classical Stonewall Attack sacrifice 13. Bxh7+ -- white tears open the black kings pawn cover and begins an immediate and straightforward attack on the H-file (14. Qh5+ 15. Rf3 and 17. Rh3). White continues the attack with another bold sacrifice (18. Rxh5) and the resulting position guarantees white excellent winning chances with a knight and 3 pawns for a black rook. This game is a classic example of the Stonewall Attack. 4 Surprising Statistics About Who Reads What Online
Patient Attraction Episode 177 Hey everyone, Colin here with the second day of our look at website readership research. Time magazine earlier this year had a piece from the CEO of a data analytics company with some numbers that may disprove several things we think we know about online readers. I'll tell you what they are when we come back. - It's Thursday, July 24, and today we are looking at some interesting statistics about web readership. - In fact, the article in Time was set up as debunking myths. - Now, I'm not going to go that far, but I do think the findings are interesting. - The first is that readers across 2 billion website visits in the course of a month found that 55 percent spent less than 15 seconds on a page. - That means they weren't reading the page, they were scanning it (at best). - So just because someone clicks a link doesn't mean they are reading the page. - Something to keep in mind the next time your web company tells you how many clicks you got. - Second, the research showed that the most-shared articles aren't read more than less-shared articles. - So just because your blog or Facebook posts gets shared doesn't mean it's being read. - And just because no one is sharing it doesn't mean people aren't reading it. - Third, people aren't fooled by "native advertising." - Native advertising is paid copy on websites that looks and feels like the content of those sites. - In the print media, this is called an advertorial and you've probably seen it -- it looks like a newspaper or magazine page, but is really about a company or product. - Your advertising company may have tried to get you to do this before. - According to the Time article, it doesn't work. - On a typical page, 71 percent of people scrolled down the page of actual content, while only 24 percent of people did so for native ads. - Finally, the research showed that more people than you think scroll beyond "the fold." - This digital fold is the point of the page where you have to scroll down to see what is beyond it. - Conventional wisdom says that most people only read what is on the screen when they land on the page. - What the research shows is that 66 percent of attention on a normal page is below the fold. - This means people are willing to scroll for the content they are looking for. - Come back tomorrow and we will finish our look at how people read on the Internet. - Until then, keep moving forward. http://SmartBoxWebMarketing.com Call Us: 888.741.1413

Feeling good | David Burns | TEDxReno
This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Why do we sometimes fall into black holes of depression, anxiety and self-doubt? And can we change the way we feel? Dr. Burns graduated magna cum laude from Amherst College, received his M.D. from Stanford University School of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He has served as Acting Chief of Psychiatry at the Presbyterian / University of Pennsylvania Medical Center (1988) and Visiting Scholar at the Harvard Medical School (1998), and is certified by the National Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Burns is currently Adjunct Clinical Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Stanford University School of Medicine, where he is involved in research and teaching. He has received numerous awards, including the A. E. Bennett Award for his research on brain chemistry, the Distinguished Contribution to Psychology through the Media Award, and the Outstanding Contributions Award from the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists. He has been named Teacher of the Year three times from the class of graduating residents at Stanford University School of Medicine, and feels especially proud of this award. In addition to his academic research, Dr. Burns has written a number of popular books on mood and relationship problems. His best-selling book,Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy, has sold over 4 million copies in the United States, and many more worldwide. Feeling Good is the book most frequently “prescribed” for depressed patients by psychiatrists and psychologists in the United States and Canada. Surveys indicate that American mental health professionals rate Feeling Good as the #1 book on depression, out of a list of 1,000 self-help books. In 1995, Dr. Burns and his family returned to California from Philadelphia. When he is not crunching statistics for his research, he can be found teaching his famous Tuesday evening psychotherapy training group for Stanford students and community clinicians, or giving workshops for mental health professionals throughout the United States and Canada. To learn more about Dr. Burns, you can check out his Wikipedia page or read a recent article about Dr. Burns by Robert Strauss in the Stanford Magazine. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. Completely farm raised bluefin tuna
A dream has come true of completely farm-raising bluefin tuna to aid sustainability of marine stocks worldwide From the development of fish farming technologies of commercially important fish to practical models of industry-supporting research and completely farm-raising bluefin tuna, the Fisheries Laboratory aims at attaining the world's highest level of research and education. Completed-cycle culture to replenish depleted fish stocks The bluefin tuna is the most prized of 1he tuna family. It is a large fish that grows to 3 m in length and 500 kg in weight as an adult. As the result of its good taste and high price, it has been overfished in recent years, resulting in the decrease in numbers. As a countermeasure, action has been taken worldwide to reduce catches. Today, a large quantity of the marketed bluefin tuna is farm-raised, which comes from wild-caught seed that have been raised to marketable size. If the fry are overfished, it is foreseen that farm-raised numbers will also decline. To maintain supplies under such severe conditions, technology for completely farm-raising bluefin tuna is needed. This technology Involves raising artificially hatched larvae to adults, collecting eggs from them and artificially hatching those eggs to create the next generation. The fish are farm-raised in all stages without requiring wild stock. fish farm fish farming Tuna Overfishing bluefin tuna, bluefintuna, giant bluefin bigeye tuna tuna nutrition facts how to start fish farming business fish farming blue fin tuna value blue fin tuna migration blue fin tuna pics blue fin tuna habitat how much is a blue fin tuna worth northern blue fin tuna blue fin tuna regulations blue fin tuna images blue fin tuna population blue fin tuna speed blue fin tuna sashimi cost of blue fin tuna big blue fin tuna blue fin tuna farming blue fin tuna for sale blue fin tuna wiki tuna blue fin blue fin tuna endangered blue fin tuna fish most expensive blue fin tuna blue fin tuna size biggest blue fin tuna blue fin tuna sushi blue tuna fish southern blue fin tuna blue fin tuna fishing blue finned tuna blue tuna overfishing in new england overfishing in america overfishing in the united states overfishing problems in the ocean statistics of overfishing articles about overfishing overfished fish list overfishing of the oceans overfishing in florida article on overfishing possible solutions to overfishing overfishing in oceans overfishing the oceans overfishing in the pacific ocean problem of overfishing overfishing the ocean pros and cons of overfishing overfishing of cod facts on overfishing overfishing cod ocean overfishing overfishing laws ways to stop overfishing overfishing in the ocean overfishing facts for kids the effects of overfishing effect of overfishing problems of overfishing history of overfishing how can we stop overfishing how to prevent overfishing overfishing video stop overfishing what causes overfishing overfishing in hawaii solutions for overfishing overfishing in japan how to stop overfishing why is overfishing a problem overfishing effects overfishing in australia solutions to overfishing overfishing articles overfishing solutions effects of overfishing overfishing problems overfishing facts

Apple’s tech force color blind?
Appearing in The Dallas Morning News (DMN) an article from the Associated Press (AP) titled “Apple’s tech force mostly white, Asian.” The article details how Apple’s tech work force is “mostly white, Asian,” while blacks and Hispanics are in the minority. One is left with the interpretation that Apple lacks diversity. Lacks diversity in what? Diversity in ethnicity or in academics? Statistics show whites and Asians graduate high school at a high percentage rate. Could that have something do with the ethnic numbers at Apple? Look deeper and one will discover this lack of so-called diversity is due to behavior as oppose to a race-based plan. Statistics also show those groups with the highest out of wedlock births also have the highest high school dropout rate. One can only conclude the situation is due to behavior of those not hired or their families rather than purposeful omission. Understand this: In 21st century America “diversity” only means elimination of standards, merit, and promotion of Balkanization. “Diversity” as practice in 21st century America is rooted in political correctness which equals pure evil. The Top Five Feminist Myths of All Time | FACTUAL FEMINIST
Domestic violence statistics, girls sold as sex slaves, the wage gap-- what are the real statistics behind the plight of American women? And are the real numbers beyond critical analysis? The Factual Feminist, Christina Hoff Sommers, takes a look beyond the headlines and reveals her list of the Top 5 feminist myths. Third-party photos, graphics, and video clips in this video may have been cropped or reframed. Music in this video may have been recut from its original arrangement and timing. In the event this video uses Creative Commons assets: If not noted in the description, titles for Creative Commons assets used in this video can be found at the link provided after each asset. The use of third-party photos, graphics, video clips, and/or music in this video does not constitute an endorsement from the artists and producers licensing those materials. © American Enterprise Institute MYTH 1: Women are half the world’s population, working two-thirds of the world’s working hours, receiving 10% of the world’s income, owning less than 1% of the world’s property. This faux fact is routinely quoted by advocacy groups, the World Bank, Oxfam, and the United Nations. But it is a fabrication. MYTH 2: Between 100,000 and 300,000 girls are sold into slavery each year in the United States. This sensational claim is a favorite of celebrities , journalists, advocates, and politicians—both conservative and liberal. The source for the figure is a 2001 report on child sexual exploitation by two University of Pennsylvania sociologists. But their 100,000–300,000 estimate referred to children at risk for exploitation—not actual victims. MYTH 3: In the United States, 22–35% of women who visit hospital emergency rooms do so because of domestic violence. This claim has appeared in countless fact sheets, books, and articles. The Penguin Atlas uses the emergency room figure to justify placing the U.S. on par with Uganda and Haiti for intimate violence. I have it. What is the source? It seems that several feminist scholars misunderstood a 1997 study by the Justice Department. The correct figure is not 22-35%--but—GET READY -- less than half of 1 percent. One in five in college women will be sexually assaulted. This incendiary figure is everywhere in the media today. The one-in-five figure is based on a survey called the Campus Sexual Assault Study. Two prominent criminologists have noted its fatal flaws: a very low response rate, a non-representative sample of respondents, and overly broad definitions of what counts as assault –which included such things as “attempted forced kissing” & intimate encounters while intoxicated. Defenders of the one-in-five figure will reply that the finding has been replicated by other studies. But these studies suffer from some or all of the same flaws. MYTH 5: Women earn 77 cents for every dollar a man earns—for doing the same work. No matter how many times this wage gap claim is decisively refuted by economists, it always comes back. The bottom line: the 23-cent gender pay gap is simply the difference between the average earnings of all men and women working full-time. It does not account for differences in occupations, positions, education, job tenure, or hours worked per week. When such relevant factors are considered, the wage gap narrows to the point of vanishing. Wage gap activists say women with identical backgrounds and jobs as men still earn less. But they always fail to take into account critical variables. These reckless claims are nearly impossible to correct because armies of advocates, journalists and political leaders depend on Killer stats to promote their cause. There is also an admirable human tendency to be protective of women—stories of female exploitation are readily believed. But killer stats undermine good causes and send scarce resources in the wrong direction. My advice to women’s advocates: Take back the truth. The Truth about the Vietnam War
Did the United States win or lose the Vietnam War? We are taught that it was a resounding loss for America, one that proves that intervening in the affairs of other nations is usually misguided. The truth is that our military won the war, but our politicians lost it. The Communists in North Vietnam actually signed a peace treaty, effectively surrendering. But the U.S. Congress didn't hold up its end of the bargain. In just five minutes, learn the truth about who really lost the Vietnam War. That's not just my view. That was the view of our enemy, the North Vietnamese government officials. Victory was apparent when President Nixon ordered the U.S. Air Force to bomb industrial and military targets in Hanoi, North Viet Nam's capital city, and in Haiphong, its major port city, and we would stop the bombing if the North Vietnamese would attend the Paris Peace Talks that they had left earlier. The North Vietnamese did go back to the Paris Peace talks, and we did stop the bombing as promised. On January the 23rd, 1973, President Nixon gave a speech to the nation on primetime television announcing that the Paris Peace Accords had been initialed by the United States, South Vietnam, North Vietnam, the Viet Cong, and the Accords would be signed on the 27th. What the United States and South Vietnam received in those accords was victory. At the White House, it was called "VV Day," "Victory in Vietnam Day." The U.S. backed up that victory with a simple pledge within the Paris Peace Accords saying: should the South require any military hardware to defend itself against any North Vietnam aggression we would provide replacement aid to the South on a piece-by-piece, one-to-one replacement, meaning a bullet for a bullet; a helicopter for a helicopter, for all things lost -- replacement. The advance of communist tyranny had been halted by those accords. Then it all came apart. And It happened this way: In August of the following year, 1974, President Nixon resigned his office as a result of what became known as "Watergate." Three months after his resignation came the November congressional elections and within them the Democrats won a landslide victory for the new Congress and many of the members used their new majority to de-fund the military aid the U.S. had promised, piece for piece, breaking the commitment that we made to the South Vietnamese in Paris to provide whatever military hardware the South Vietnamese needed in case of aggression from the North. Put simply and accurately, a majority of Democrats of the 94th Congress did not keep the word of the United States. On April the 10th of 1975, President Gerald Ford appealed directly to those members of the congress in an evening Joint Session, televised to the nation. In that speech he literally begged the Congress to keep the word of the United States. But as President Ford delivered his speech, many of the members of the Congress walked out of the chamber. Many of them had an investment in America's failure in Vietnam. They had participated in demonstrations against the war for many years. They wouldn't give the aid. ICE-CREAM is linked to CANCER. Milk,Saturated Fat,Eggs,Butter,Paleo,Red Meat,Non-Vegan Diet all Bad
ICECREAM is now found linked to CANCER. Red Meat, Milk, Cheese & Red Meat are linked to Cancer. Ice-cream contains female estrogen. Effeminizing estrogen increases the hormone IGF-1, and IGF-1 is tied to Cancer. In this case, Breast cancer. Women eating ice-cream may end up with Cancer. Breast Cancer, Uterus Cancer, and Ovarian Cancer. Icecream is made from Milk. Milk contains 17-beta Estradiol, which is mammalian estrogen. The same goes for all cheese. All make from milk, all linked to cancer. Organic RAW MILK is even worse. This can kill your baby due to Raw Milk containing feces and toxic bacteria. It can result in non-vegan parents feeding their baby raw milk and then being hospitalized with Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome. That includes highly dangerous Raw Goats Milk(bad). Meat is also linked to Cancer. Meat also contains estrogen. Steaks contain mammalian female estrogen. (By the way, SOY NOT CONTAIN ANY MAMMALIAN ESTROGEN. This is an internet hoax that was traced to a Health Fraud Group named the Weston A. Price Foundation which spreads fallacious articles all across the internet. Soy contains "phytoestrogens" which are the plant form of Isoflavones. This is not the human form of estrogen which is actually 17-beta-estradiol, found in steak. The WAPF is using the similarity in the words---but chemically different compounds---to dupe less-knowledgeable people into believing it. The WAPF is now listedd on QuackWatch as classified as a bogus quack organization. The WAPF believes in psychics, crystals, and wrote a book on the Health Benefits of Tobacco and told people smoking prevents cancer(false). They do what's called pseudoscience, which is concocting articles "doctored-up" to *appear* scientifc, with citations, big sounding chemical names, etc, but when you fact-check it, it's all based on false studies. Soy is healthful. Soy is not bad. Soy does not contain estrogen any more than an Artichoke Heart could be surgically implanted into a human and work like a real heart. If you hear anyone say that Soy has estrogen, they are not scientific and got duped by the WAPF a co-worker or a bogus site on the internet.) The study here, now confirms the link between Breast Cancer in Women and eating Animal Fat. Saturated Fat is mainly in Animal Products. That includes Ice-Cream. Which is made from Milk. That includes MEAT. Animal meat contains saturated fat. And NO, SATURATED FATS HAVE NOT BEEN FOUND "OK AGAIN AFTERALL"---that line is False. There have been a rash of fallacious "studies" lately that have purported to state that saturated fat is good(it's not). What you don't know is that 1 of these "studies" wasn't even a study at all, it was simply a Letter, written into a journal by a man named "James Dinicolantinio"(now debunked) who was found to be "an employee at the pharmacy department of Wegman's grocery store". He did no actual study on Saturated Fat, with no people. There was no study. That "Saturated Fat is good for you" "study" was merely a letter from a guy who's a pharmacist at a Wegmans store in Ohio) -- The next article claiming Saturated Fats, butter, meat is ok afterall(wrong) was by Rajiv Chowdhury. Chowdhury now admits that his Saturated Fat article contains errors, mathematical flaws, statistics errors, and omissions. The Saturated Fat "study" by Chowdhury is now getting calls for retraction. It may be pulled from the journal. The Siri-Tarino article saying Saturated Fats are good for you was funded by the Dairy Industry! This has not stopped less-knowledgeable magazines and television shows like TIME Magazine and Australia's Catalyst from writing false articles saying "Butter is good afterall"(wrong), Yet people believe a googled blog, a TV show or magazine article by a person with no medical or scientific credentials. Bacon is one of the worst culprits and shaves an hour off your life with every bacon sandwich, and there is no safe human level of its ingestion.) NO new study "questions the link between fatty acids and heart disease(false)"--that has been wrongly reported, yet many people have been duped by it. No such thing happened. The articles were found wrong. Another false conclusion that "Everything causes Cancer"(wrong). This is false. As one can see in the video, over 57 studies tested tomatoes and not 1 showed were not linked to cancer. Tomatoes are a plant food. All of the items found positive for a link to Cancer were animal products. RED MEAT, STEAK, BACON, FISH, CHICKEN, EGGS, MILK, CHEESE, and ICECREAM are linked to cancer and are animal products. The plant product reduced risk of cancer. Eating a plant-based diet without animal products is shown linked to a reduced risk of human disease and cancer. Is Barefoot Running BS?
http://xeroshoes.com/barefoot-running/barefoot-running-really-bs/ -- Marc Lindsay wrote an article on Active.com with his opinion that barefoot running is total B.S. I rebut the article at the link above. Unfortunately his article, like most anti-barefoot articles, is full of logical problems and faulty reasoning. He conflates minimalist and barefoot, the same way that big shoe companies with nominally minimalist products do. He quotes injury statistics without highlighting that 50% of shod runners and 80% of shod marathoners get hurt every year (and, frankly, we don't know if barefoot is better or worse than that). He confuses the lack of good scientific data (in large part because much of the science is sponsored by shoe companies) with proof that there are no benefits to barefoot running. He misrepresents the Vibram FiveFingers lawsuit as some sort of proof that barefoot running is bad, without recognizing that a $3.75 million settlement on a product that sold almost $1 BILLION is practically an admission that the plaintiff had no case. But the biggest thing is this: The article seems to be a Native Advertisement. The upper right corner of the article says "Sponsored by Brooks." Yes, Brooks, the shoe company. Take a look yourself at http://www.active.com/a3_articles/f8353804-f47f-4853-ae3d-d06a79c64585/1 If you're a student of rhetoric or critical thinking, you'll love the article; it's full of straw-man arguments, false dichotomy, appeal to authority, and many other logical errors.

Heritage House in Riverside CA
Owned by the Riverside Metropolitan Museum, this 1891 Victorian showplace depicts life in turn-of-the century Riverside. An elegant reminder of the affluent homes which once graced Magnolia Avenue, Heritage House began as a project of the Riverside Museum Associates, a volunteer support group of the Riverside Metropolitan Museum. Restored and maintained in a manner reflective of its nineteenth-century construction, this grand house is now a meticulously researched example of historic tastes, values, and lifestyle. Mr. and Mrs. James Bettner settled in Riverside in the late 1870s, within a decade of the young town's founding. A Place - A Time . . . According to an 1895 article in Harper's Bazar magazine, young couples of moderate means could expect to spend between $5000 and $10,000 in the construction of a house, excluding the cost of a lot. Restoration and development have always reflected the interpretation of such statistics into a local household. The Bradstreet Index, in 1895, recognized Riverside as enjoying the highest per capita income in the United States. Citizens were indeed prosperous, thanks largely to citrus horticulture, but they were not millionaires. Catharine Bettner's net worth in 1892, for instance, was $18,755 or more than $200,000 adjusted to today's values.

Against the current trend in psychology to pathologize human behavior through medical and scientific explanations, the magazine will emphasize the creativity of the therapeutic process for both patients and therapists. As daring, Psychology Tomorrow will go a step further by looking at the relationship between psychology and contemporary visual arts, photography, fashion, writing, dance and video. Please subscribe! https://goo.gl/XV4H04 New Videos Every Other Week! Why College Textbooks are so Expensive. Short Answer: You're being had. The college textbook store is the biggest arbitrage, price collusion, inelastic demand, racketeering, market on campus. Sources: Graph be found thorough BLS= Bureau of Labor and Statistics 1.) 15% of Tuition spent on Books: The National Association of College Stores (NACS) 2.)1/5 of the textbook price goes to the store where it is sold to cover personnel and operating costs, while more than three-quarters goes straight to the publisher, according to a recent article from U.S. News & World Report. The magazine broke down textbok publishing costs: NACS no longer receives information from publishers about where textbook money goes, but as recently as 2008, they provided that cost breakdown. At that time, around 15.4 cents of every dollar went toward marketing the textbooks, 11.7 cents went to the authors, and the largest chunk—32.2 cents—went to the basics: paper, printing, and paying publishers' employees. 3.)U.S. PIRG found a majority of students admit to not purchasing at least one textbook required for their classes because the price is too high. 4.)USAToday: "but a 2008 report from the California state auditor found many college deans, department chairs and faculty members admitted revisions to textbooks are often minimal and not always warranted."

The Myth of the Gender Wage Gap
Women in America are the freest in the world, yet many feminists tell us women are oppressed. They advocate this falsehood through victim mentality propaganda and misleading statistics, such as the gender wage gap myth. In many ways they are not merely doing as well as men, they are doing better. Women's emancipation is one of the glories of Western civilization and one of the great chapters in the history of freedom. So, why then are those in the women's movement, such as the leaders and members of activist groups like the National Organization for Women, the professors in Women's Studies departments at our colleges, and many women in the media, why are they still so dissatisfied? These feminists hardly acknowledge women's progress. Yes, they concede, that some advances have been made, but the fact that most women reject their activist brand of feminism and think of themselves as free is, for this crowd, proof of just how entrenched patriarchy and inequality truly are: women are so oppressed, they don't even know it. Year after year these activists make claims about women and violence, women and depression, women and eating disorders, women and workplace injustice -- to support their views. Over the years, I have looked carefully at many of these claims. What I have found is that much of the supporting evidence, mostly victim statistics, is misleading and often flat out wrong. Consider the issue of the so-called gender wage gap. How many times have you heard that, for the same work, women receive 77 cents for every dollar a man earns? This charge is constantly repeated by feminist activists and their supporters, yet it is so deeply misleading as to border on outright falsehood. The 23-cent gender pay gap is simply the difference between the average earnings of all men and women working full-time. It does not take account for differences in occupations, positions, education, job tenure, or hours worked per week. Now, wage-gap activists in groups like the American Association of University Women or the National Women's Law Center they say, no, no -- even when you control for these factors, women still earn less. Well it always turns out that they have omitted one or two crucial data points. Take the case of doctors. On the surface, it looks like female physicians are clearly victims of wage discrimination -- they appear to earn less for the same work. But dig a little deeper beneath the surface and you find that women are far more likely than men to enter lower paying specialties like pediatrics or family medicine than higher-paying cardiology or anesthesiology. They are also more likely to work part time. And even women who work full time put in about 7 percent fewer hours than men. Women physicians are also far more likely to take long leaves of absence -- usually to start a family. Now, there are exceptions, but most workplace pay gaps narrow to the point of vanishing when one accounts for all of these relevant factors. Deathbed Confession: ADHD Is A Fictitious Disease
Leon Eisenberg, the scientific father" of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD, died in 2009. Before he passed away, he made a startling confession. The 87-year-old medical researcher said "ADHD is a prime example of a fictitious disease" while on his deathbed. In the United States, one in every ten male children takes medicine for the disorder, and that number is increasing. Eisenberg made a great deal of wealth living off research into ADHD, and won several prizes for his work into childhood learning disorders. For more than four decades, the medical researcher was a leader in the field of child psychology. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or DSM, is the standard reference for psychologists in diagnosing mental disorders. A study by child psychologist Lisa Cosgrove looked into financial ties between board members who prepare the manual and the pharmaceutical industry. The study, carried out in 2006, revealed every single member of the DSM board was receiving money from the drug industry. This set off a firestorm of controversy. Up to one in eight children in school is now said to suffer from some sort of mental disorder. This large population is driving some parents to question the diagnoses. Health experts and those raising children are asking where normal childhood behavior ends and where ADHD begins. Renowned child psychologist Jerome Kagan of Harvard University took part in an interview with the German magazine Der Spiegel. While talking about the increase in cases, Kagan said, "Let's go back 50 years. We have a 7-year-old child who is bored in school and disrupts classes. Back then, he was called lazy. Today, he is said to suffer from ADHD. That's why the numbers have soared." (1) A new book by Richard Saul called "ADHD Does Not Exist' and a pair of recent articles in the New York Times suggest the disorder is, at least, misdiagnosed. The debate over attention disorders is about to rage once more. #SR http://www.snopes.com/politics/quotes/adhd.asp Download your free Next News "Heroes & Villains" Poster here: http://nextnewsnetwork.com/the-2013-heroes-villains-posters Donate USD: http://nnn.is/donate-dollars Donate BTC: http://nnn.is/donate-bitcoin LIVE: http://NextNewsNetwork.com Facebook: http://Facebook.com/NextNewsNet Twitter: http://Twitter.com/NextNewsNet Sub: http://NNN.is/the_new_media Meet the Next News Team: http://youtu.be/2QnNKwQ2WkY Hashtag: #N3 About: Next News Network's World News program airs daily at 6pm and 11pm Eastern on Comcast, DirecTV and Over-the-Air and Online at http://NNN.is/on- World News is available to 6 million viewers from South Beach to Sebastian, Florida and to 2 million viewers in Boston, Massachusetts via . broadcasts on RF channel 44 (virtual channel 9) from Palm City and is carried on cable TV channels 44 (SD) and 1044 (HD) by AT&T, on cable channels 17 (SD) and 438 (HD) in West Palm Beach by Comcast, on satellite channel 44 (SD) in West Palm Beach by DIRECTV, and on -Boston which broadcasts on RF channel 38 (virtual channel 6) from the Government Center district in downtown Boston. Great Opening System for Black 👌 against 1.d4 - the Noteboom! - IM Mark Diesen
Master the opening system for Black that will surprise, scare then DESTROY your 1.d4 opponents – IM Mark Diesen’s “How to win against 1.d4 with the Noteboom”! Get instant digital access – with 35% off! ► https://ichs.co/2zHvx3i Want a surprise chess opening for Black that will confuse and trick your opponent? Try the Noteboom! In this video, IM Mark Diesen explains how to playa great opening system for Black – The Noteboom variation of the Slav defense. This chess opening features a solid setup with the Black pawn on d5 supported by pawns on c6 and e6. Mark starts off with how to get into a Noteboom through both the Slav move order and the Queen’s Gambit Declined. The move that really separates the Noteboom from other Slav and Queen’s Gambit variations is the surprising move $…dxc4. Why does Black give up his most advanced, and well-supported, pawn when it’s clear White will be able to win the pawn back a few moves later? Well, it turns out that Black can make it very difficult – and time-consuming – for White to win that Noteboom pawn back. And this gives Black time to get his other ideas rolling. In the GM game analyzed by Mark here, we see the main line: 5.e3 b5! 6.a4 Bb4 (pinning the knight) 7.Bd2 a5 8.axb5 Bxc3 9.Bxc3 cxb5 10.b3 Bb7 11.bxc4 b4. Black has the advantage on the queenside and will play there, while White tries to make something of his central advantage. The resulting middlegame is dynamic and it’s easy for an unprepared player (your opponent!) to get distracted and start playing on either of the flanks when they should be focused on the center. It’s very tempting to start a kingside attack when the opponent is on the queenside but attempting this will fail – the attack just takes too long! In this Noteboom game, Black is happy to sacrifice his h7 pawn (with check!) in order to secure the c5 square for his knight. Watch out for Black’s …a4 move - highly instructive. ► Corresponding article from this video with extra goodies: https://ichs.co/2zJllqY ► Come checkout the iChess.net shop, we have the world’s largest collection of chess videos and chess courses: https://ichs.co/iChessShop ********** Other Videos from iChess ********** ► Subscribe to our main Youtube Channel: https://ichs.co/iChSubscribe ► Check out award winning Master Method video series: https://ichs.co/MasterMethod Checkout our most recent video: https://ichs.co/latest-chess-video ********** FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL: *********** Facebook: https://ichs.co/iChessFB Twitter: https://ichs.co/iChessTwitter YouTube: https://ichs.co/iChSubscribe ********** Our Other YouTube Channels *********** iChess Ch 2: https://ichs.co/iChess2 iChess en español: https://ichs.co/iChessESP

Princeton Mom: Black men are hurt by false rape accusations
Susan Patton (aka "The Princeton Mom") is the author of the book, "Marry Smart: Advice for finding the one." She is a strong advocate for the empowerment of women, teaching them to make smart personal and professional decisions, especially in the area of relationships. One thing that Patton is often criticized for is being outspoken about the way our society has decided to reward and protec those who falsely accuse men of rape. Patton references the recent calamity at The University of Virginia, where Rolling Stone Magazine wrote a 9,000 word article about a gang rape that occurred on campus. The problem with the story is that it wasn't true. Even worse, it was revealed that Rolling Stone refused to even speak to the men who were falsely accused of rape or to carefully verify the woman's story. Susan says that these dangerous tactics being used by extreme feminists to support their agenda by any means necessary is harmful to legitimate victims of sexual assault. She also seems to feel that women are often presented as fragile, mindless creatures who are incapable of taking responsibility for their choices and/or to make good decisions. Patton seeks to debunk the myth of the weak, fragile woman and instead discusses ways that women can protect themselves from men who might seek to harm them. Additionally, she says that the politics of false accusations are extremely harmful toward African American men and society as a whole. The interview is very interesting, enjoy.

YMB Podcast E19: Is Bitcoin Only for the Privileged
Annie-Rose Strasser recently declared that Bitcoin is By the Privileged, For the Privileged. She pointed to statistics indicating that the Bitcoin space is dominated by white, libertarian males and she certainly did not like that. In today's show, we will go through her article and respond. Cathy Reisenwitz from Bitcoin Magazine also responded to the same article, so we will consider her words too. Is it bad that most Bitcoiners are white males? Does that mean that Bitcoin is flawed or unfair? Later in the show, we will consider another possible drawback. Bitcoin almost always requires some sort of computer and internet access to be used. This limitation means that there really are some people in the world who cannot use cryptocurrency. Is that unfair? Could there be any way around this issue? Tune in to one of our favorite episodes. We loved recording this show and at times we had trouble trying not to offend certain groups of people. Your hosts are Tim Baker, Daniel Brown, and John Stuart. Enjoy! 2 Percent of Clergy Are Pedophiles According To Pope Francis
"About 2 percent of Roman Catholic clerics are sexual abusers, an Italian newspaper on Sunday quoted Pope Francis as saying, adding that the pontiff considered the crime "a leprosy in our house". But the Vatican issued a statement saying some parts of a long article in the left-leaning La Repubblica were not accurate, including one that quoted the pope as saying that there were cardinals among the abusers. The article was a reconstruction of an hour-long conversation between the pope and the newspaper's founder, Eugenio Scalfari, an atheist who has written about several past encounters with the pope. "Many of my collaborators who fight with me (against pedophilia) reassure me with reliable statistics that say that the level of pedophilia in the Church is at about 2 percent," Francis was quoted as saying."
