Checking the #company #name #availability is a major challenge for any entrepreneur. We thought we could make things easier. Company names have two components - a unique component and a descriptive component. The unique component of your company name should be coined by you. Ideally, a combination of the names of the founders. For instance, if one founders' name is Ravi and the other founders' name is Shastri, you could coin a word "RASTRI". Such a name has an excellent chance of being approved. The descriptive component should describe what the #business does. For instance, the descriptive component of a #software #company should be #Technology #Services. Taking the unique component mentioned above along with this descriptive component, the name of the company would be" RASTRI TECHNOLOGY SERVICES PVT. LTD. Simple, isn't it? #QOTD: Are you a Vayniac or part of the VaynerNation? What's the difference? #TIMESTAMPS 00:35 - Can I add curated content to my own content? if yes, what’s the right mix? 03:37 - How much sleep do you get on average? Do you work 7 days a week? Do you have set days off to spend time with family? 05:50 - What have you found is the best way to introduce non wine drinkers to wine without seeming overwhelming? 07:44 - I know marketers ruing everything but is twitters latest algorithm change going to damage the user experience and the essence of twitter? 11:02 - What would you do if you were starting over and building your personal brand? how would you start the @garyvee brand if you had to do it all over? #LINKS Podcast: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-askgaryvee-show/id928159684?mt=2 Rafeal's Page: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6J6qYtlLQBCT6GOgv7fFAg If I were to go back in time and start all over again, I would change NOTHING. From 22 to 32, for the first ten years of my hustle, I remained quiet and I put in the work. I did the work that allowed me to have the audacity to go out and build the Gary Vaynerchuk brand. The notion that there's people out there that are growth hacking, and getting exposure through other people's podcasts, and leveraging the brands of others to build themselves as "experts," is LUDICROUS. What are these people actually experts in? What have they accomplished to be deemed an expert? Here's what I did and why I think you should listen to me when it comes to business. I am in the midst of building my second $50M plus business in a 5 year window. Is it $50 Billion? No - but it's a very substantial business. I was ahead of the market and I executed. I put in the work, I built up the business at a speed many can't comprehend, and I did the things that allowed me to be worthy enough to have a shot at putting out a $15-20 book and amass the following that I have. So my question is, what did these self-proclaimed experts do to claim that title? If you want to be an "expert" in your craft you need to be in the trenches, day in and day out. You can't just rely on modern day technology to build up your brand. The notion that people are leveraging these technologies and the brand equity of others to build their name is LAUGHABLE. You need to actually execute. You need to earn the opportunity to be a personal brand. You need to show them the proof. If you're an actual expert the proof should be in your forethought, your wins, and your execution. -- Gary Vaynerchuk is a New York Times and Wall Street Journal Best-Selling author, self-taught wine expert, and innovative entrepreneur. Jo-Ná Williams is licensed to practice law in the State of New York only. C'mon over to http://www.marieforleo.com/2014/05/small-business-legal-help/ where the main discussion happens after the episode! Legal help can be confusing if you run a small business, but in this video you'll learn about three common legal mistakes small business owners make -- and how to avoid them. 1. Business Structure. Should your business be an LLC or S Corp? Get legal help from a lawyer about what option is best for your business, since they can help you figure out what will be best for your taxes as well. Many people think that a lawyer is going to cost a lot of money, but most people would rather pay for solving a problem than preventing one. 2. Protect Yourself And Your Offerings. It's very important your terms are outlined in something written. Make sure that your contracts have protection for your IP, disclosure of your programs and content, clear terms as to refunds and how to terminate the contract. It's also important to make sure your contracts have disclaimers in them. It's important to have what you are in the contract but even more importantly what you're NOT. Legal help from an attorney will show you exactly what your contracts and terms should include. 3. Your Business Relationships. An independent contractor's agreement serves as additional proof that you have this arrangement with the people working for you. In this type of agreement, you should outline their duties, how they are being paid and when. A non-disclosure clause protects your confidential information, and explains the fact that they're an independent contractor and not an employee. And a final bonus tip: If you are in the U.S. and you pay an independent contractor over $600, you're going to have to issue them a 1099. Make sure you have their W-9 form when they come on-board so you don't have to try and get it from them later! 08 common Interview question and answers - Job Interview Skills 1. "Tell me a little about yourself." You should take this opportunity to show your communication skills by speaking clearly and concisely in an organized manner. Because there is no right or wrong answer for this question, it is important to appear friendly. 2. "What are your strengths?" This is a popular interview question. They want to know what you think of yourself. Although this is a general question, there is a wrong and right answer. The wrong answer is a generic answer saying you are organized and friendly. Although it will not hurt you during the interview, it will certainly not help you either. Answer this question based on the type of job you are applying for. 3. "What are your weaknesses?" For this answer, you should display a weakness that can be seen as a strength. There are many types of answers that will work. Some answers will be good answers for certain jobs, while the same answer will be a bad answer for a different job. Select an answer that will work for the position you are applying for. 4. "Where do you see yourself in five years?" This question primarily depends on where you are in your career. A person with 5 years of experience will have different goals than a person with no work experience. This question is asked to see how serious a candidate is about his or her career. Some people might not know their goals, and some people might have goals of becoming rich and retiring early. Those are incorrect answers for this question. The type of answer you want to give is an ambitious answer that shows you really love your career. A good interviewer will read between the lines and find out if a person is going to be a hard worker or just a mediocre one. Being descriptive and shooting for a big goal is something interviewers want to hear. 5. "What do you know about our company?" A typical job interview question, asked to find out how much company research you have conducted, is "What do you know about this company?" Prepare in advance, and in a word, research, so you can provide relevant and current information about your prospective employer to the interviewer. 6. "Are you good at dealing with change?" Dealing with change is common in the work place. A simple yes will not be sufficient to impress the interviewer. This is another type of question where everyone will have similar answers. Of course everyone is going to claim being excellent dealing with change. You got to communicate that you are really good at dealing with change. 7. "Do you work well under pressure?" In most cases, the best answer to this question is answering yes. Working well under pressure is a good trait to have. However, I think if you answer that you work the same with pressure and without pressure, the interviewer will be more impressed. However, you will need to explain in words why this is better. 8. "How do you make important decisions?" There are many ways to answer this question, and if you have a reasonable method of making decisions, it will probably be sufficient. One answer I thought of included not being afraid of asking your manager. You can follow up by saying even the best needs mentoring, and you always want to improve. So basically, this could work as an answer, but depending on the job, you might have a better shot with an answer like my example.

The corporate identity of a company does not simply correspond to a compelling tagline, a well-designed logo or a striking brand name.Great branding does not just end at these three branding stakes. The corporate or brand identity of a business defines how customers relate with and think about the brand. It is the overall image of a company that is imprinted in the minds of customers, employees and investors. The main aim of establishing a corporate identity is to serve as a means of branding the business for the public. It establishes the individuality of the company’s corporate culture, philosophy and core values. A number of reputed branding agencies have recently come to fore and have been successful largely because of their innovative, technological and social media approach to branding. Accuprosys is one such company worth noting.

Andrew Reith, Business Events Manager at the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) highlights why protecting your name, logo, slogan, inventions, creative works are so important for your business. Trademarks, copyright and Patents are the most common applications and Andrew explains the process and costs of each. Did you know it costs as little as £17 a year for a trademark? And a copyright as simple and cheap as a stamp! Unfortunately, the IPO can't provide you with advice so you should seek legal advice but I wanted to know if there was a way round it and Andrew said look at the Toolkit because its a good starting point. Find out more on http://QuentinPain.com Thinking up a name for your business is one of the most gruelling and emotive things you will ever do! "But surely getting that first big deal or hitting your first million is far greater!!!" It's true those things come with a massive high, but they are so short lived. Your business name on the other hand lives with you every day. It affects every part of your business from picking up the phone to creating marketing material. Get it right and you will love it to bits (and gain confidence). Get it wrong and you will be groaning every time it's mentioned ("Good morning. Cycology Bikes... no it's spelt with a 'C' damn it"). Ever since we learnt to talk, naming things has been our priority. We need clarity in life and naming hits the nail on the head. "What's that?" "It's the moon" "Ah great. Thanks" But on a personal level it becomes an obsession. When someone calls us by name it affects us on a deep emotional level. We feel noticed. And recognition is one of our core desires. So, how do you solve the business name problem? How important is a name when it comes to being successful? That's easy to answer. Take a look at this bit of research on Legendary Business Owners. Also, this Wikipedia page shows a list of top companies named after their founders. In most cases the founders have long since gone (kicked out, moved on, died or retired). Yet the name lives on and often more strongly. So does a 'personal' name matter? Not really. "But what about other names?" There are just as many successful firms founded on random, arbitrary or meaningless names out there. Get inspired for ideas on name creation from this list. Are you a BAarry D ASSet management? The simple 10 minutes or less stress free way to name your business without needing to worry about the future (too much) is to pick one of these templates and run with it: Your Name + Your Industry/Specialism/Niche Your Name + Your Town/County/Country/Continent Your Name + Industry + Town (if you run a local business with no expansion plans) If you don't like your name, change it by deed poll or pick a name you do like. At the end of the day it's not your name that matters, it's how you position your business in the marketplace and how greatly you serve your customers. Your reputation is built on those two things. And once established, whatever name you choose will become synonymous with how you do business -- just as it has throughout history. Serve well and Prosper.

If you handle business card orders for your company, chances are, you've experienced how it can sometimes be a real time sink. Sporadic order requests, design software headaches, mistake prone proofing, and long turn-around times all add up to wasted time and money. Now there is a solution to this mundane office task that is so easy, anyone in your office can manage multiple business card orders in just a few minutes. The answer is MyProject, a custom built online ordering system from Olympus Press that was designed to make ordering print easier than ever. Here's how it works: You provide us with your business card art. Usually this is an Illustrator, Indesign or PDF file. Once we have your file we will carefully analyze it taking into account all the typesetting rules that keep your brand consistent. Once we have analyzed your art we program it into our system using Python, the same code that runs Google. This program file we call a 'style' and it is as unique to your company as your fingerprint is to you. Next we create a private webstore than can only be accessed by approved members of your organization. Your newly created webstore is always available whenever you need access by navigating to Olypress.com/ [your company name]. Ordering business cards from your webstore is so easy, most orders can be completed in less than 5 minutes. Simply select the card you would like to order and configure it with the contact information you want. After you have typed in the information, our system gets to work. It takes the programming style we created earlier and applies it to the contact information you have provided. It then instantly outputs a press ready file using an adobe Illustrator engine and also provides you with a perfect PDF proof. Once your proof is approved your order is immediately sent to our press que. The MyProject system can be programmed to match your workflow. Features like order saving, approver setup, low inventory notifications, and live phone support make handling business card orders almost too easy. Not only will MyProject make your order management a breeze, but it does so without reducing your design options. With MyProject, virtually every printing technique in the industry is possible. Effects like foil stamping, embossing, and unique coatings plus a full range of premium paper selections are all available to you. So in review, MyProject can handle your business card ordering with more convenience and control than ever before. It can be adapted to fit your companies specific needs, and your cards will be delivered much sooner than with a traditional ordering process. Right now you might be thinking "That sounds great, but it must cost a fortune." If this is you, then you'll be happy to hear that the cost to print through MyProject is comparable to any other conventional press, and in certain instances, even less expensive. This is because the system cuts out time consuming pre-press steps making our job easier too. There is a one time upfront cost to program and develop your unique web store, but since you've watched this video to the end we will waive the setup fee for your companies store if you call us right now and tell us "I watched your video to the end, please waive my set-up fee!

How To Use Pinterest For Business - Step By Step Handbook http://foottrafficsolutions.com/pinterest-handbook/ Subscribe to My Channel for Great Local Marketing Tips: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=FootTrafficSolution How To Use Pinterest For Business - Step By Step Handbook Hello and welcome to day 4 of our social media video series: Social Media for Small Business - How To Use Pinterest Marketing Handbook! Thank you for joining us today as we continue to learn about different ways to effectively connect with our target audience. So far, we have covered the benefits of using Facebook, YouTube and Video Marketing, and Twitter. Today, we will be discussing effectively using Pinterest to boost your company's visibility and audience engagement. I am very excited to share with you some information, tips, and tricks about Pinterest -- as it is my favorite form of social media! Without any further hesitation, lets dive in! 00: 39 First of all, what is Pinterest? If you do not already know, Pinterest is basically a virtual cork board for images and videos. These images and videos link back to the site that they were originally pinned from. 00:53 Pinterest is based on the discovery and organization of other people's content (which makes it an awesome way for you to share YOUR content and have other people share it!). Visual assets are the most valuable part of a Pinterest pin, along with the short description of what it links back to. Like a real life pin board, Pinterest virtual pinboards focus mainly on visual content for initial appeal. 01:18 So now that you know what Pinterest is, let me share something amazing with you... Pinterest drives more web traffic to other sites than Google +, Linkedin, and YouTube COMBINED! What does this mean for you? It means generating traffic for your website! How can you use Pinterest to do this? 01:38 Let me share a few examples. You can use Pinterest to create a board that showcases your portfolio of your work -- and link each piece back to your website. You can use it to showcase your product catalog -- and link each item back to your website. If you include blog posts on your website, you can use Pinterest to link back to your blog posts and generate more traffic to your site. You can even host "Pinning Contests" which really amps up your customer engagement. How can you host a pinning contest? 02:08 There are many ways to go about it. My favorite is to ask users to first follow you on Pinterest, and then have them create a pin board named with your brand name, and pin their 5 (or 10, or however many you choose) favorite items from your website. The key is to offer a prize to the winner -- a gift certificate to your business is my favorite idea of a prize to offer. So now that you know some ways that you can use Pinterest, what are some tips and tricks? Keep in mind that images and videos are the most powerful part of your pin boards -- always use something that is eye catching, with a relevant description! 02:46 Your name on Pinterest should be your brand name, but using a photo of yourself instead of your company logo adds a great personal touch! 02:54 Your description about you needs to include who you are (your business's name), what you do, and why people should follow you. For example, if I was creating one for a local pizza delivery restaurant, I could say "We are a family owned and operated business founded in 1985, that creates award winning pizza and other Italian favorites from scratch in our restaurant kitchen in Portland, ME". By doing this, I have created a description that lets people know who we are, what we do, and why someone would want to follow us. 03:27 One last tip I would like to share with you for using Pinterest is to keep it organized! Use separate boards for different categories of pins! If you can post engaging photos that link to quality content on your site, post frequently, and keep your Pinterest account organized -- you will create a dynamic campaign and have users re-pinning your pins over and over! 03:49 Using Pinterest is a highly effective way to generate more traffic to your site, and create more visibility for your company. It can be time consuming to manage your Pinterest account in an effective manner, but it is well worth it to the success of your business! 04:05 Need help? Contact us today -- we are experts on all things Pinterest! 04:10 Stay tuned tomorrow to learn about using 6 second Vine videos to amp up your fan engagement! 04:18 Get your Pinterest Marketing Handbook for local small business owners here. A Chattanooga-based carpet company is changing the name of one of its top brands, and understandably so. Three years ago when Propex launched a new product in the growing carpet tile market, it christened the brand ISIS, after the Egyptian goddess known for teaching women how to weave. But since then ISIS has taken on a reputation as the identity of Islamic terrorists at war with America. Now Propex is relabeling its product as ARTIS, the Latin term - for artistic. The company says it spent a lot of time and resources to promote the ISIS brand, but changing it - was just the right thing to do.

You want to choose a business name that is easy to spell and is clear. http://www.smallbusinessy.com/design-great-name-business If you choose plays on words, or have z's in place of s's, it can be very confusing for everyone involved. You should be comfortable saying your company's name. So, for small businesses, I recommend this: Generate a list of 5-10 Names. Speak them to your community. What emotion does it invoke? Do people get it? Next, search out to see if anyone is using that name. Google it. Start off with a simple search and see what's out there. Next, you can do a domain search, for xyzcorp.com to see if anyone has taken that domain. This is nice to have, but not a dealbreaker in most cases. You can then use the US Trademark search tool to see if the name is trademarked. You don't want to be infringing on anyone's trademark. So if you find your desired name is clear, you can then register it with your state Registry and get it trademarked yourself. State name registry happens with your secretary of state. Search it out. You can also operate under a DBA, should you want to change the name your business is know by, but legally keep it under a separate name. http://youtu.be/xLH1i5zkeOU

Restaurant Marketing Ideas: Double Restaurant Profits VIDEO TRANSCRIPT (kind of, sort of) If you are a restaurant owner or bar owner, operator, or manager, just getting into the restaurant business or if you've been in the restaurant business forever, you're in the right place. Today we're going to talk about one of my restaurant marketing ideas, or dare I say one of my most important and valuable restaurant marketing idea, which will ultimately lead to doubling your profit. See I get phone calls and e-mails all the time from people that want to know how they can double their business. What they really mean by 'doubling their business' is they want to double their profits. The difference really is, when you say you want to double your business, you're talking about adding more marketing, adding more labor and adding more expenses, which will hopefully lead to more profits. I'm going to share with you a 3 step process that won't cost you any money in marketing, in advertising, in added labor and really, not much more extra time. What that's going to do is allow any new revenue to go right to the bottom line, with out any added expenses! And that's why this formula is so simple to not only execute, but to understand! Step 1 to doubling your restaurant or pretty much any food and beverage establishment's profits: 10% more customers. That means if you're serving an average of 100 customers a day, you simply need to bump that up to a 110 customers a day. I want to share with you my best tip for getting more customers in your restaurant without spending any money and that's called Online Review Engagement. A lot of us are engaging currently online with our customers but we're not doing it correctly, in the native way, that they want to be heard and listened to, depending on what platform you're working on. The way we talk to customers is very different on Twitter to Facebook to Yelp to Vine to Instagram or any of the social media platforms out there. If you are not certain that you are engaging with your customers 100% accurately, in the way they want to be engaged with online, then send me an e-mail and just tell me the name of your business and city that you are located in, so I can do a quick little search of your social media. Then we'll get on the phone for a half hour or so. I want to share with you some of the things you're doing right and maybe some areas for improvement. This is so important, this is game changing, this is real life changing stuff when you figure out how to properly engage with your customers online, especially with reviews.
