What's In My NEW Carryon & How To Pack for an Out of Town Race

38:15
In this video I show you how I pack my new carryon, a wheeled roll along bag from Vera Bradley. Not only is it extremely functional, it's cute as a button, too! I decided to try out a wheeled carryon for this trip specifically, because I knew I wanted to pack my race day gear with me to take on the plan rather than in my checked luggage. This ensures that even if something happens to my luggage (which hopefully nothing will), I at least have all I need for my half marathon. This is a versatile piece that is a great addition to my luggage collection and I look forward to using it time and time again. Landed in Athens & My Luggage is in London

01:18
Hey Everyone, I'm writing to you from ATH airport! I am very excited to be back in Greece. To tell you the truth I am exhausted from not having slept the night before. I had a good flight connecting from London to Athens with Aegean Airlines. It seems my connection wasn't long enough, and my suitcase did not make the flight. I spoke to an agent who told me the next flight to Skyros is in 2 days. Being exhausted, I started to break down in tears. I told her I was here to show how beautiful Greece is and though it's in a financial crisis, it's such a beautiful country to travel. I have everything in the suitcase, and not much with me. She was really nice, felt sorry for me and gave me a voucher for 40 euro telling me that they don't give it to everyone. I appreciated that. Awww. So, I am here waiting to board for Skyros! Athens has free wi-fi! Winning! London Heathrow didn't which was a bit surprising. I'm exhausted, and rambling. lol Lots of love, Elaine

Paris to Milan by TGV train from €29 - video guide

06:44
Tickets from Paris to Milan or Turin start at just €29 - for information or to buy tickets online see https://www.seat61.com/Paris-to-Milan-by-TGV-train.htm A beginner's guide to travel from Paris to Turin or Milan by high-speed TGV train, showing the train interior & exterior, the scenery and the food on board. Three daily French TGVs link Paris Gare de Lyon with Turin and Milan, from €29 one-way booked direct with French Railways. The video shows the 14:41 from Paris arriving Turin 20:13, Milan Porta Garibaldi at 21:50, with an easy connection from London St Pancras by Eurostar. The video was taken in June, and there was still snow on the highest peaks - the weather wasn't great on this occasion, overcast with brooding clouds, the route looks far better in proper summer sun or winter snow! Fans of BBC Top Gear may recognise a shot or two in this video - I supplied a few clips to the Beeb for their Wembley to Milan TGV-versus-Mustang 'race' first shown in February 2013.

London Fog Luggage

00:27
Best Cheap London Fog Luggage Store http://londonfogluggage.blogspot.com/ London Fog is a large manufacturer of coats and other clothes. The company was founded in 1923 as the Londontown clothing company by Israel Myers. During World War II, the company was known for making waterproof clothing for the United States Navy. Following the war, the company partnered with DuPont to make material for use in raincoats. These coats, which were the first to have a patented removable liner, were sold in Philadelphia, where they became very popular.[citation needed] The company went public in the 1960s. By the 1970s, the company had its own stores, and was manufacturing not only raincoats, but also other types of clothes and accessories. At the time, two-thirds of all raincoats sold in the United States were London Fog.[citation needed] London Fog expanded internationally during the 1990s, selling in places like the United Kingdom and China. The original location of the London Fog Factory was in the Meadow Mills area of Baltimore, Maryland. The factory was then moved to Eldersburg, Maryland on Londontown Boulevard in 1976.[1] In 1994, the company briefly left Eldersburg for Darien, Connecticut, but returned after less than a year.[2] In 2000, most of London Fog's offices moved to Seattle, Washington, although their distribution center in Eldersburg remained, functioning until 2002.[3]. The Best Travel Backpack - Review of Osprey Talon 44 Pack

04:53
Get my backpack now by clicking here: http://migrationology.com/my-backpack/ I recently purchased the Osprey Talon 44 backpack to use for traveling - and after a few month of use, I can say that's it's probably the best travel backpack I've ever owned. As a continuous world travler, having a pack is probably one of the most important items I own. It's like a home away from home, a storage for all my possessions and something that is extremely comfortable. In this video review of the Osprey Talon 44 I'll go over the top 9 reasons just why I think this is a perfect travel companion. One of the highlights of the bag is that it's extremely lightweight - seriously, when I first picked it up, I could barely even feel anything! This is a huge bonus for travelers because when the backpack itself already weighs a lot, adding just a few items can make it reach the maximum for a hand carry. The Osprey Talon 44 on the other hand give you space and weight to carry what you need. Here's my philosophy: If your bag burdens or hinders you from doing what you want or being flexible, your bag is too big or heavy. I love the size of this backpack - at 44 liters it's not too big, yet it's big enough to carry everything I need when I travel. The size, the lightweight, the simple features, and the serious comfort of the pack when loaded are all reasons why I think it's the best travel backpack out there. There are two drawback to the pack - one is that there's not that much padding on the bag itself (for your things). If you carry a computer like I do, you'll have to add a t-shirt or something at the bottom to give the bag a little extra padding. The next drawback is that it would have been nice it it included a rain cover - although that would have made the pack a bit heavier. That's solved by a plastic bag or an external rain fly. Overall, it's an awesome, extremely well made backpack that I'd highly recommend for hiking backpackers or lightweight travelers. How Smart Women Pack For Two Weeks in France

07:46
Marilyn Hellman gives advise on how a woman can pack fashionable wardrobe choices in one standard size suitcase for a 2 week trip to France or Italy. Marilyn speaks from experience on how to pack "light" while traveling, since she travels to France and Italy 4 times a year to buy for her charming store located in Naples, Florida. Visit us at www.MarilynHellman.com Today we’d like to show you how to travel in France with this size luggage for two weeks. The first thing I start with is a dress. What's that going to mean? Well, you have to consider the events and activities you will attend. I made a couple of suggestions; this is kind of a formal dress This is a really nice dress on the body and it's easy to work with when you're traveling, you can dress it up or dress it down very easily. We need to also look at colors. This is one of my favorite outfits as far as a dress. You can really dress it up, get some nice color, it has a lot of good detail but yet you can start removing detail depending on how casual you want to be. You can take the beads off and wear it with the scarf, for just a simple little dinner out. You can dress it up, again using the accessories to make one dress into three or four outfits for yourself. Okay, let's talk separates; this is where everybody gets into trouble. So, we're going to put some numbers on these, you get to have three bottoms. I don't care if you have two skirts and one pant or two pants and one skirt or you have all three of one or all three of the other, whatever it is, the number is three. You can take a simple skirt if it's work-related, or you can be a little more flowy with the skirt if it's for a vacation or social event. For the pant, I would strongly suggest a medium-sized leg, because you want something that you can wear flats with and you can wear heels. Usually the most successful color for people is black but if you can fit it into your wardrobe, I certainly would do any color that you like Let’s talk about tops. You get exactly five, and that includes a cover jacket. The first thing I like is some kind of a layering piece and a sleeveless piece that's a bright color. A lot of times your cover-ups are plain black or plain white, and the brighter color is really nice underneath. If they're skimpy like this one, you can have an extra one if you need it. This is a lace top and it's very pretty, it's just as comfortable with a long skirt as it is with a short skirt. It looks great with pants, you can dress this up or dress it down and you can always put a shawl on top of it. Now, the other one is some kind of a piece or knit top that has some type of a sleeve. You can always add jewelry to this to make it dressier. You know, we're not getting out of here without me talking about a cotton blouse; I personally bring two or three with me because I happen to like them. I also wear that colorful layering piece a lot of times underneath. I want to talk a little bit about this cover-up. The nice thing about a cashmere sweater is it can be dressy or it could be very casual. The next thing is shoes. You only can have three shoes, now you can have three in your luggage and one on your feet for travel, but ideally you should only have two pairs of shoes in your luggage. The reason I'm giving you the third pair is if you're going somewhere for a special event, you’ll need a dress shoe that's special for the outfit that you're bringing. Couple of suggestions I have on that one is; number one, we carry a lot of these, we dip them in different patterns. This is a really great airy shoe; we do a small heel here, this is very, very comfortable. I can wear these on the plane, and I see them all over France. They wear them with pants, skirt, dresses, very comfortable in this shoe. The other one that's really nice, that I see a lot in Italy is the wedge – the wedge goes nicely with dresses, skirts and you can wear it with pants. Also another good alternative, multicolored shoes; this is the time you take these kinds of things because they'll go with a lot of outfits. If you have something like your little black dress and you have a necklace, you can put a shoe like this with it and you can dress it up very easily. So, these are the suggestions on the shoes. There is no limitation on necklaces, earrings or bracelets – jewelry in general. You can use jewelry to create different looks for different out fits. Tailored earrings for work or for dinner, shorter necklaces with V-neck blouses. It's only fitting we should end where we began; it’s with this piece of luggage, I assure you that you can put in all those pieces and the things we talked about and there will be plenty of room left over for all kinds of things, so if you have any questions give me a call at 239-206-4460, we'll be happy to show you how to do it.

England: Like a Local -- Efficient Train Travel, with Peter Greenberg

02:31
Rail Europe recently had the opportunity to partner with legendary travel reporter Peter Greenberg for a radio show that was recorded on board the Eurostar train and aired on April 28, 2012. During his visit to Britain, Peter Greenberg recorded this video clip where he shares his tips for getting around London and England, like a local, using the Tube and Britain's very efficient railway system. Video Transcript: Hi I'm Peter Greenberg and this is England: Like a Local. As North Americans we really don't often think of train transportation as a viable option. But in Britain, it's really the best way to get around. Think about it: Getting to and from the airport can be time consuming, and those luggage fees really add up. And forget renting a car -- trust me, it's not as easy as it looks to drive on the other side of the road. I'm here at St. Pancras station, one of the busiest train terminals in the heart of London—and, as you can see, not just for tourists. Locals get around this way -- and now you can navigate the trains of England...Like a Local. Here's an example. I want to go to Canterbury Cathedral from London's St. Pancras Station. This is one world's largest and most famous cathedrals -- a World Heritage Site in fact. It's just about 60 miles from London...but you can't fly there, and I don't recommend driving. So....take the train! It's more economical -- and you won't have to deal with the high price of gas that comes with renting a car. Here are some tips on how to navigate the process like a local: Plan your itinerary ahead of time—even before you leave North America. Rail Europe provides an easy way to plan everything from start to finish, with maps, schedules and fares online at Rail Europe.com for trains operating in Britain. If you're on the go, use the Rail Europe iPhone App. You can plan exactly where you want to go and which stations will connect you. Booking early is usually the best way to access all trains -- and avoid waiting in line. Next, check out the Oyster Card -- the traveler's version of a local pass. It's the cheapest way to get single or multiple train tickets on one simple card. And it works on both the London inter city Tube and National Rail services. And -- of course -- there's an app for that! The Oyster Balance app lets you purchase tickets and credit right on your smartphone. Want to know how to avoid the crowds? The locals know the secrets, and now you can too. Tube Exits gives you the inside track on which car to sit in so you're closest to the station exit—or the "way out" - as the locals say it - for all London stations. Bottom line: The British rail system is efficient, it gets you straight from the city center to the sites, and you can figure out everything before you even leave home...so there's no getting lost, and no wasted time. And that's traveling like a local.

How to Pack for a Year Long Trip: Minimalism for Women

15:03
http://www.melissarachelblack.com I've seen a handful of great videos, photos, or lists of how to pack (or live) light. However, none of them were from women, and I always wanted to see what's in a minimalist woman's bag since we need at least a few different things than men. So, I thought I'd make my own video and share what's in my bag during my long journey with The Eat Team.

Wizz Air Disgusting Customer Service Baggage Charge

01:06
A passenger at Luton to Warsaw Modlin, WizzAir flight is told he has to pay £50 to put his hand luggage in the hold. The passengers bag fitted into the baggage size cage at the gate but was still told it was to big and was being made to pay. The check in women was extremely rude who shouted at me to keep out of it as it was not my bag, when I said what was the problem as the bag fitted? I didn't know the polish man, but felt he was being unfairly ripped off. Somebody produced a tape measure and the passenger measured the cage which was found to be smaller than the specified dimensions. Security was called and I believe the passenger did not make the flight. Wizz Air are to soon begin charging £9 to take on board bags. Its said most airlines pay check-in staff a bonus linked to the value of the excess baggage fees they collect.
