Artie Isaac - The Ethics of Speech
"Ethics of Speech for More Productivity and Peace" How can your workforce, your community, your family live a better, more productive life? Since so much of our lives are the result of spoken words, it pays to consider the ethics of speech. What statements should be avoided? Some types, like slander and libel, are obviously a bad idea. But what of true stories, warnings and compliments? How can you watch your tongue for better relationships at work, in the street, at home and in the mirror? This presentation offers a 30-minute review of cultural approaches to the ethics of speech, followed by a lively 30 minutes of questions and answers. The topic is immediately provoking — because we have all been mis-taught that "talk is cheap" — so the discussion after the presentation is always interesting.

Sample clip "From Darwin to Hitler" V056
This is a low-res sample from a DVD Product available from http://www.arn.org. In his book, From Darwin to Hitler: Evolutionary Ethics, Eugenics, and Racism in Germany (2004), Richard Weikart explains the revolutionary impact Darwinism had on ethics and morality. He demonstrates that many leading Darwinian biologists and social thinkers in Germany believed that Darwinism overturned traditional Judeo-Christian and Enlightenment ethics, especially the view that human life is sacred. Many of these thinkers supported moral relativism, yet simultaneously exalted evolutionary "fitness" (especially intelligence and health) to the highest arbiter of morality. Darwinism played a key role in the rise not only of eugenics (a movement wanting to control human reproduction to improve the human species), but also euthanasia, infanticide, abortion, and racial extermination. This was especially important in Germany, since Hitler built his view of ethics on Darwinian principles.

How would you like to be a patient at THIS hospital?
This is what compassionate care has come to under the Texas Futile Care law. Call or email your Texas State Representatives and Senators NOW so that hospitals can never again threaten to send patients "on to glory" against their will. Tell your Texas State Representatives to support HB1094 and your Texas State Senators to support SB439 so this kind of abuse never happens again.

Lance Secretan's Reclaiming Higher Ground
Reclaiming Higher Ground® Based on Lance Secretan's worldwide bestseller, Reclaiming Higher Ground: Creating Organizations that Inspire the Soul, this presentation inspires a new way to think about leadership and work. The vast majority of people are deeply dissatisfied with their work lives and this affects the bottom line. Lance Secretan describes how leaders can serve the needs of their employees and how this improves performance. Loyal, productive, creative employees inspire profits. Employees are eager to bring more than their bodies to work, and because work and the company represent such a huge commitment in a person's life, they don't want to bring stress and unhappiness home. There is a lot of productive common ground here—Higher Ground, Secretan calls it, when organizations answer this eagerness and desire with Higher Ground Leadership™. He lays out a detailed and pragmatic process for organizational transformation that goes much deeper than compensation to address the hearts and minds of individuals, and their vision and goals for their organization. He talks about the inner life, trust, courage, values and community as indispensable to the health of a business. And he sets the record straight about competition, profit, teams and structure in ways that inspire leaders and employees alike. Here are some examples: 1)New models for organizational culture and values 2)Guidelines for more effective communications, written and verbal 3)Methods for realigning relationships with associates, customers and suppliers 4)Ways to replace the negative energy of fear, competition and hostility with compassion, excellence and service 5)Ways to deepen a leader's ability to romance outstanding performances from colleagues and loyalty from customers and suppliers 6)Innovative approaches to decision making, employee equity, learning and creativity, workplace design, and a host of other leadership issues This is a collection of breakthrough ideas, delivered in Lance Secretan's legendary storytelling style with one of the best multimedia presentations you will see anywhere.
