C919 - Cheap Aircraft Aircraft Made in China !

01:40
Brought To You by BlueSkyCrew.... For More check http://www.facebook.com/blueskycrew During the Zhuhai Air Show in Southern China, Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China announced yesterday its first 100 C919 passenger-plane orders, breaking Airbus SAS and Boeing Co.'s stranglehold on the world's second-largest market for new aircraft. China's three biggest domestic airlines are the majority of the other customers for the new, narrow body aircraft, 166 seat aircraft . A full-sized model of this aircraft was on display at the recent Zhuhai air show in southern China this week, with the first flight expected to take place in 2014; the airplane is expected to enter commercial service in 2016. China plans to sell more than 2,000 of these aircraft over the next 20 years. China had 1,259 commercial aircraft at the end of 2008, the most recent figure published. In 1980 it had only approximately 140 commercial planes. If you dream of flying for a Chinese airline, now is the time to learn to fly and prepare yourself for this excellent career in the growing China aviation industry.

Boeing 787 Certification Tests.. Courtesy of BlueSky Crew

03:06
Flight test is one of the final phases of verification of the operational characteristics and overall performance of a new airplane. Like laboratory testing, flight testing is a means of demonstrating that the design intention is being fulfilled by the airplane. The data collected during flight test is part of the information required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other regulatory agencies to certify that a new airplane meets all the requirements of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and is ready to enter revenue service with airlines around the world. During initial airworthiness testing, minimal crew -- only two pilots -- are on board. Testing locations are limited by the range of the telemetry relay equipment on the ground, keeping testing typically within the state of Washington. Test sequences during this phase include flying at a variety of flap settings, speeds and altitudes. Extreme conditions are not part of this testing though they are tested later in the program. After achieving initial airworthiness, additional test personnel are able to fly onboard the airplane. This enables more extensive testing as the airplane can now be operated remotely. With test personnel on board, sensor readings can be monitored on the airplane instead of being relayed to ground-based personnel. Next, Boeing works to earn its TIA from the FAA so that certification flight tests may begin. TIA is the FAA's verification that it has agreed with Boeing on the testing that needs to be performed to achieve certification and that Boeing has demonstrated the airworthiness of the airplane. Achieving TIA clears the way for FAA personnel to participate in flight testing. Working to achieve TIA requires further exploration of the flight envelope, most notably including flutter testing, which tests the airplane's stability after an induced oscillation at design limit speeds and high altitude for multiple configurations. After flutter testing is completed and TIA is granted, FAA personnel are cleared to participate in certification testing. During this phase of testing, the extremes of the flight envelope are explored. Testing conditions include operations in hot weather and cold weather as well as takeoffs and landings at high altitude airports. In addition, over-speed conditions, hard landings and engine-out conditions are tested. When certification testing is largely complete, F&R testing begins in earnest, demonstrating that the airplane, its components and equipment are reliable and function properly in simulated airline operation. At the end of the flight test program, Boeing and the FAA have developed a full understanding of the airplane in both normal and non-normal circumstances. The flight test pilots purposefully put the airplane through maneuvers that most pilots will never see during their careers. This is how they ensure the airplane can be safely operated in revenue service.

We are SAFETY Professional Not Dancers...by BlueSky Crew

01:35
POST THIS TO YOUR PROFILE - We Flight Attendants and Stewards express our reservations about the dancing 'Flight attendants. Flight attendants are SAFETY professionals and to require them to dance in front of the passengers is demeaning and undignified, ' 'Flight attendants are not entertainers or dancers...! 'Portraying women in a sexy manner to make business brisk is not only a cheap promotional gimmick but also makes such corporations a purveyor of sexism and machismo'. We call upon Cebu Pacific's to reconsider their actions 'for the sake of gender sensitivity and professionalism.'
