The Birler™ compact pack axe is light enough to cut down on weight, yet it's still burly enough to get everything you need done on a mission. Elmer Roush of Brasstown, North Carolina knows a thing or two about axes and life in the battle theater. He spent time in country, in the Vietnam conflict. Today, in the Forged By War™ program, he's applying his 40 years of blacksmith experience as well as techniques from thousands of years ago to create exceptional tools such as the Birler™. This is an axe that won't go AWOL on you when you need to break down doors, build floors and take down tall trees to rescue a fellow soldier. The blade is forged from 1055 carbon steel and is virtually indestructible. Just like those who use it. The sturdy Tennessee hickory handle ensures that the Birler™ won't fold on you when the fighting gets tough. The name even relates the tool back to the wooden handle and the art of Birling, being a reference to lumberjacks logrolling. This is one tough tool for mission or the outdoors. Looking at the Birler™ you'd be amazed that it's such a heavy weight when it comes to work, yet such a lightweight when it comes to carrying it into battle with the elements. If you're fighting to reduce every ounce as you head out into the field, carry the Birler™ in your hand. An aftermarket sheath will be available for the Birler™ soon. About the Forged By War™ program – In 2013, Ryan Johnson of RMJ Tactical, designer of elite, military, tactical tomahawks, approached CRKT with the news that he had been working with a few combat veterans that had returned from war with varying degrees of post-traumatic stress (PTS). To help work through their challenges, they have been designing and forging steel into custom tools. Drawing from their experience earned in combat situations, they have been creating tools they wished they had available to them in the battlefield. CRKT cares deeply about our returning veterans and we saw a way to give back to the community that created them. In 2016, we launched the Forged By War™ program. These are mission ready tools, designed by veterans, with 10% of the CRKT net profits of the program donated to the veterans' charity of choice. Mission ready tools that are, Forged By War™. Yukanto Fixed Blade Knife | Designer Vision from James Williams

02:36
James Williams designed the Yukanto as a MOLLE compatible fixed blade knife for the men and women protecting freedom. Learn more: http://www.crkt.com/yukanto-fixed-blade-tactical-knife-2930 This tactical fixed blade knife is built much like its designer James Williams—tough. A beefy G10 handle provides superior grip in close quarter battle environments. The modified tanto blade allows for maximum penetration and slashing cuts against enemies. Finally, a sheath with a molle-compatible gear clip puts your knife at-the-ready for any surprises that may come your way. Yukanto™ designer James Williams of Encinitas, California, is a veteran who has trained, competed in and taught several different martial arts disciplines. He also teaches close quarter combat to police and military, foreign and domestic. His knives have been a staple for military Special Forces and Tactical Law enforcement communities around the world for years. Williams designed the Yukanto™ at the request of military Special Operators, knowing that it would see more than its share of close-quarter combat situations. The Yukanto™ features a clip-blade crafted in the Osaraku style made famous by the 16th century Samurai warlord, Takeda Shingen. Compact in size, it still comes up big on cutting abilities when called upon for duty. It's no wonder the name translates to "Sword of Valor". When you need a more compact fighting tool for maximum penetration, the Yukanto™ is ready to serve and protect you.

Enter the Clever Girl™ fixed blade tactical knife with an upswept blade. As part of the Forged By War™ program, Austin McGlaun of Columbus, Georgia, designed the Clever Girl™. It aligns with his philosophy that a knife is more than a tool. It's a psychological deterrent that is very different from a gun. It tells your attacker very quickly that you mean business. It's here to protect you and bring a soldier home at the end of his watch - be it in the field, on a mission, or in high stress environments. Just grab hold of the tough injection molded glass- reinforced nylon handle. Draw it from a sheath that's MOLLE compatible for multiple carry options. Then let your body go on autopilot. CRKT Strafe™ Knife | Designer Vision From Lucas Burnley

01:57
Stealth like a ninja, power like a .50 cal. Learn more: https://www.crkt.com/strafe.html The Strafe™ tactical fixed blade is born of both an admiration for sleek Japanese design and a fascination with U.S. military combat technique. The angular, rakish blade mirrors a classic tanto shape, and the slight design makes this knife swift in motion, and an extremely lightweight to carry. The field is full of unsuspected variables; the Strafe™ is built to address every last one. Lucas Burnley of Albuquerque, New Mexico built the Strafe™ to be the ultimate modern field knife with traditional, classic undertones. It’s first and foremost a field utility knife, but it’ll always be there to run sweep. The lean, angular blade shape is rooted in its Japanese tanto heritage and is finished with a sleek stonewash finish. When matched with diamond cross section grip and shadow boxed scales, it looks like a relic fit for a display case, but this powerful, capable beast doesn’t belong in a cage. The tough polypropylene sheath features a j-hook accessory so it remains poised and at the ready at all times. In a combat situation, every second counts. The sleek, swift Strafe™ eats milliseconds for breakfast.

Obake Skoshi Knife | Designer Vision From Lucas Burnley

It's compact in size but still big on attitude. Learn more: http://www.crkt.com/obake-skoshi-neck-knife-2365 It's compact in size but still big on attitude. The Obake™ Skoshi everyday carry knife has the same uniquely etched blade, cord wrapped ray-skin style handle and cool factor as its larger cousin. Proof once again that looks can be deceiving. Designed by Lucas Burnley of Albuquerque, NM, the Obake™ Skoshi is an artful combination of a classic knife style built with modern-day materials and techniques. It's another example of Burnley's belief that knives are a personal expression of independence. And this one makes a statement when you bring it out for action. A throwback to a classic Japanese design, it features a full tang fixed blade with a unique gray titanium nitride finish that's acid-etched to give each knife a distinct look. It's like he made the blade exclusively for you to throw down when the need for utility comes up. The handle has a Katana style nylon cord wrap over a black faux ray-skin for an exceptional and secure all-weather grip. When storms or trouble are brewing, you'll be ready. The sheath of the Obake™ is made from glass-reinforced nylon that provides consistent retention even in humid environments. A paracord lanyard on the sheath is designed to attach to your belt loop and keep the sheath in place when you deploy the knife. A skull bead adds a not-so-subtle accent to the paracord lanyard. The Obake™ Skoshi isn't looking for work, but it's ready to show up looking like a boss when it's time to get the job done.

CRKT Homefront™ Knife with Field Strip Technology | Design by Ken Onion

This in-field, no-tool take apart capability lets you purge your most reliable companion of a hard day’s grime right where you are, without ever returning to your workbench. The breakthrough “Field Strip” innovation comes from the shop of world-renowned knife craftsman Ken Onion and has been over ten years in the making. To disassemble the Homefront™ when the knife is in the closed position, push the front release lever away from the blade, then spin the turn release wheel on the rear of the handle away from the pivot shaft—once you feel the handle release, pull it up and away from the blade. Reassembly is as easy as reversing the procedure, allowing for practical, quick maintenance where you stand. From his shop in Kaneohe, HI, Ken Onion designed the tactically inspired, everyday carry Homefront™ knife to stay true to its vintage roots. The bayonet lug-style flipper sets off the smooth open action of the 3.5” modified drop point blade, while tank jimping on the backstrap sits snugly against your palm. It stands up to the looks of a WWI heirloom, and it sure as hell stands up to any job it encounters. The handles are made from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum and house an impressively beefy AUS 8 stainless steel blade. Classic on the outside, impressively futuristic on the inside, the Homefront™ is about to change everything. Field Strip technology is patent pending.

Just like any good gun, you want something that'll keep you safe. That's why the Squid™ comes with an internal frame lock and deep pocket clip for a secure carry. Learn More: http://www.crkt.com/Field-Strip-Technology Learn More about the Homefront™ Knife: http://www.crkt.com/homefront-pocket-knife-K270GKP The new Homefront™ knife is the first in our fleet to feature “Field Strip” technology.

Build a Nice Log Cabin Fire. Heck, Build a Nice Log Cabin Home. Learn more: https://www.crkt.com/woods-nobo-t-hawk.html This traditionally-modeled two-handed camp axe with a hickory handle and hot forged blade, will make your life easier when you’re off the grid. Ryan Johnson of RMJ Tactical in Chattanooga, TN designed the Nobo™ T-hawk. He’s a specialist in applying modern engineering to centuries old tool and weapon concepts, and upping the ante once again with a new outdoor line of tomahawks that swing as big as the open wilderness in which they’re found. The design for this T-Hawk is modeled after the classic trade tomahawks common during the 18th century. Carried by Native Americans and frontiersmen alike, this remake is made less for self defense, and more for battle with a few old Doug Firs. The Nobo™ is made from a solid chunk of 1055 carbon steel that is hot forged into a rock-solid head and features a hammer finish. With primary and secondary edge bevels that are flat ground, it cuts through timber like a beaver. The thick wood handle is made in the USA from Tennessee hickory. It's comfortable in hand and sealed with a lacquer coat that adds durability whenever you're in the backcountry—in other words, all the time. Grab hold of the Nobo™ T-Hawk and split some wood—like a cord’s worth. NOTE: Leather sheath is available as an after-market add-on. It is not included. But don’t worry. The blade is forged of black powder coated steel and molded into a deep belly shape. CRKT Goken Tactical Knife | Designer Vision From James Williams

Learn more: https://www.crkt.com/goken.html Grace of a falcon, grit of a warrior. James Williams is one of the most revered martial artists in America. He brings that discipline and unrivaled know-how to this sleek tactical knife. To round out its powerful capability, it’s privy to Field Strip technology and won’t slow down even in the grittiest conditions. This is what happens when a master takes to making. Most famous for his “System of Strategy,” James Williams of Encinitas, California is one who seriously knows his way around a tactical folding knife. Elegance and effectiveness are paramount in Japanese culture both when it comes to martial arts and classic weaponry. James’ expertise bridges the gap between the two and has inspired incredibly famous designs like the Hissatsu™ Folder and the Otanashi Noh Ken™. The Gōken™ is aptly named—the Japanese word is reserved for only those that embody fortitude. This knife is a worthy addition to his tactical folding knife lineup with a classic James Williams modified Osoraku Zukuri modified tanto blade style finished with a deep black powder coat. The 3.7” blade is deployed from its tough G10 handles with an inconspicuous flipper and held fast with a locking liner amid any dirty job it may confront. As the first of Williams’ knives that’s been given Field Strip Technology, the Gōken™ is designed to come apart in the field with no tools for cleaning and simple maintenance…because what’s an everyday carry that doubles as a self-defense tool that can’t keep up in the face of grimy adversity? Because a samurai sword won’t fit in your pocket, the Gōken™ will stand in its place. How Field Strip Works Field Strip Technology lets you easily disassemble your knife for cleaning without tools. To disassemble, close the knife, push the front release lever up. Then spin the rear release wheel clockwise —once you feel the handle release, pull it up and away. Handles and blade come apart easily. To bring the knife back together, place the blade and handles into the closed position - press and hold the pivot. Once the pivot is seated correctly, rotate the release wheel counter-clockwise until snug. Push front lever down. The knife is restored to full working order. A specialist in applying modern engineering to centuries old tool and weapon concepts, he is upping the ante once again with a new outdoor line of tomahawks that swing as big as the open wilderness where they’re found. The design for this T-Hawk evolved from the popular and original tactical tomahawk series. But it’s built for battle with a few old Doug Firs. The Woods Chogan™ is made from a solid chunk of 1055 carbon steel that is hot forged into a rock-solid head that features a hammer finish. With primary and secondary edge bevels that are flat ground, it cuts through timber like a beaver. A hammerhead is useful for pounding in nails and stakes for the tent you’ll put by your roaring fire. The thick wood handle is made in the USA from Tennessee hickory. It's comfortable in hand and sealed with a lacquer coat that adds durability whenever you're in the backcountry—in other words, all the time. Grab hold of the Woods Chogan™ T-Hawk and split some wood—like a cord’s worth. NOTE: Leather sheath is available as an after-market add-on. It is not included. But don’t worry. You won’t want to keep this baby wrapped up. Also available: Woods Chogan™ T-Hawk Leather Sheath (D2730) Woods Kangee™ T-Hawk with a Spike Head (2735) Woods Kangee™ T-Hawk Leather Sheath (D2735) Woods T-Hawk Replacement Handle (2730-2)

It tears through anything in its path. Learn more: http://www.crkt.com/K320GXP-outrage-folding-pocket-knife It's beautiful. How it tears through anything in its path. Ken Onion of Kaneohe, HI, designed the Outrage™ to be a sophisticated everyday carry blade. But he created a knife that will destroy whatever stands in its way. At work or out on the town this knife is ready for action. Featuring a modified drop point blade in the distinctive Ken Onion style, it's ready to take on a variety of cutting tasks and claim victory over every one of them—without you breaking a sweat. An IKBS™ ball bearing pivot system deploys the blade smooth and fast while a locking liner keeps you protected. Keeping boxes, rope and twine safe from it? That's a different story. An aluminum handle in a gun metal grey makes the Outrage™ look like something you'd see out of NASA not just CRKT. Finally, a low profile clip keeps the whole thing tight and snug in your pocket. Ken Onion is no stranger to stylish folders that win awards for their good looks and solid build. We're pretty sure the Outrage™ is next in line to take the stage with some of his favorite designs. When you have a tough job to get through in a stylish way, the Outrage™ fits the bill

Wrap the last two around the cord fob for extra grip. Then see where you can go with it from there. You’ll find it’s tough to argue against the value of having a knife along with you, especially one as versatile and comfortable as the S.P.E.W.™ It’s slim in design only, not features. The S.P.E.W.™ comes with a versatile carry sheath. Not that you’ll be keeping it in there for long. Take it with you for when you might need it most—all of the time.

An affordable EDC knife for work and sport. Learn more: http://www.crkt.com/M16-01-EDC-Black-GlassFilledNylonHandle-AutoLAWKS-Razor-Sharp-Edge Here is Kit Carson's M16® Every Day Carry (EDC) with our glass filled nylon InterFrame build in black-on-black tactical dress. Our knife users told us, "We want an affordable work knife that we can give hard use without feeling guilty, and one that won't break us up if we leave it on a job site or drop it in the river." We heard you. So we set about to make the Z EDC the best value in the work and sport knife world. That starts with textured glass filled nylon scales and a dual stainless steel liner InterFrame. Assembled with glass filled nylon back spacers and Torx® fasteners, the result is amazingly rigid. Glass filled nylon offers excellent toughness and resistance to solvents. Lubrous washers at the blade pivot and an adjustable pivot screw allow for perfect blade action. The blade is 8CR15MoV high-carbon stainless steel which gives an ideal combination of toughness and edge-holding ability in a work knife, and also allows easy field-sharpening. The M16®-01KZ uses our popular spear point slim profile blade with a Razor-Sharp edge. It is ideal for fine cutting and carving tasks. It has a black EDP blade, black frame and hardware. Of course, it features the Carson Flipper, which speeds opening of the blade and acts as a blade guard when the blade is open. The real breakthrough was our ability to engineer our patented* AutoLAWKS™ knife safety into all models, which automatically actuates when the blades are open, making these folders into virtual fixed blades when locked. Add to these features the standard removable stainless steel clothing/gear clip plus the CRKT limited lifetime warranty, and you have one of the truly great knife values of our time. *U.S. Patent Nos. 5,596,808 and 7,437,822
